How much is a summer season pass for the public park. i am planning on driving there this summer (from NY) in my Jeep and i was wondering if anyone has done anything like this. If so Do they allow you to park over-night becuase im gunna sleep in my car. Any additional information on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I was there this summer and not sure how much a summer pass is but you can definitely park there overnight or there are tons of places to camp too.

This summer a season pass was 789$. A day pass was 50. I think it's way to much money. In the winter its 250$ for a season pass and 20 for a day ticket.

that sucks but its not that bad considering its like half of one session of windells now that i think of it

yeah i did something like that this past summer. i flew to portland and my aunt let us borrow her car for 2 weeks while we skied. we brought a tent and stayed at a campsite that was like 5 miles from govy, so 11 from the mountain or something. the campsite was 14 dollars a night. we bought passes every day and it sucked. really fucking expensive. alot of people snag tickets from people leaving, but that means you have to wait till later. thats fine if you like hiking and soft snow. you can definitely stay overnight in the parking lot. i even saw people staying in tents right up on the side of the parking lot once the snow had melted enough. hood is so sick. next summer im going to go for the whole summer

?????

Its like 350 for a teen season pass and 450 for an adult in the winter, and the day passes are like 57.

I dont know about the summer passes but there prolly overpriced

if you can work it you can get a job at timby and then you dnt have to pay 900 dollars for a pass. that is your best bet.. even if you get a job with windells or some naze they dont pay for your whole pass.

the summer pass is 800 dollars and it goes on sale in may, get a job a timberline and you get the pass much cheaper

i am pretty sure the pass is that expensive because if it was say 300 dollars then no one would work for timberline in the summer except for all the full time year round peeps. i wish it was cheaper too but I understand their logic..plus it is the only place in the country you can ski in the summer.

you payed to camp at hood?? FAIL

stay at the airstrip. It's free, close enough to amenities, and not as restrictive.

While the pass is expensive as shit, you could get quite the moneys worth by buying a pass and bumming it at the airtstrip, rather than just sleeping in your car or paying for a campsite.

And the lift lines and parking situation are insane in the summer. I think the truth is that Timberline is so busy in the summer with campers and racers coming to train they don't need to draw locals.

Im really interested in camping situations, like if i bought a tent would i be able to camp for cheap and close to the mountain, useful answers will be rewarded with karma

ya lift tickets in the summer are brutal at hood, i went to camp so it's part of the expense which is super nice but you'll get nailed on ticket prices

Well i thought the lift tickets were bad at hood. But if you look at mammoth and park city and such. Lift tickets are 60-80 dollars in the WINTER. I think i would pay 50 bucks to ski in the summer.
With your tent thing just go to the airstrip and it's free i think. Otherwise you would pay a fee per night.

Dude we camped up at hood, but we didnt stay at the airstrip and of course it was free. We just took off down a forest road and set up camp, complete with fire ring.
