hey Im gonna go to hood this summer for a few days. now Im not gonna go to a camp I just wanna ski by myself. is there like a public park or something and how much is the ticket and stuff. anyone who knows please reply or send me a message. thanks

yah, there's a public park, the pipe is nice, but it can get really busy....tickets are hella expensive, like 40 dollars or some shit, you should just hike up theres a little road...that's what we did, cuz you dont even use the lift ticket cept for once.

lift tickets are spendy like 39 er something but if you hike past 2ish when the lifts are completly shut down you can session one or two hits. It is nice to have a pass to make laps when you go earlier in the year when you can still ski on to the mile. If you try hiking earlier in the day when the lifts are running and you get caught by the Tline crew you will probably have to hike back down. by a ticket and then.. continue to do something else. they are extreme Lift Nazis when it comes to that. but it is easy enough tohike with out being caught just be smart

yah for the most part. it is closed like a week a year for annual maitenace and shit like that. some parts of the year there is limited riding in places but it boasts a full 12 month riding schedule every year

^^^^^ doesn't look like that at all, just got bck today/

they only had like 2 rails, one 30ftr, one fukn gay crooked rail, gay box, broken 900lb 3 kink rail, a mailbox to crooked mail box, and a tyte rail w/ a lip at the end, only like 2 kiks really worked, pipe was crusty, jumps are really weird, not croweded at all, and that windells thing just started, but i had fun

is it shitty? yah, last year we were hiking and we got caught by some truck and we just told em we werent ganna poach just that we were going to hike up another mountain to go skiing so we wnated to see what it was like...then before tey left we fuckin ate our lunches so they were like 'oh' and they believed us...not sure what eating our lunches had to do with that, but, they were good lu nches!

hoods park is hella tight in mid june. the public park is pretty much better than private parks then...cept for rails and pipe. but you can have runs with 4 good hits back to back...tight as fuck

for public like andy said its sick. you can have back to back hits but go earlier in the year as the year goes on the warmer temps melt the snow and once rock starts exposing it really goes so they try to keep a good park all year but in augusut it can be sketch sometimes.. so the earlier in the summer will be the more snow features you will have to hit up

windells had camps running but ther shyt looked pretty bare, ther was one ski group but they wer just lapping thru the pub

thers a fukn jump w/ a landing of raocks on the side and this dude sean matitises 180 and landed into the roks

there was a fucking blind drop off in the landing to one of the tables and i reverted right into a patch of fucking large boulders!. i thought i was gonna die.

yo i live in Hood River which is pretty close to hood and i think it was like 35 for tickit,but you should check out timbs. site. o ya and to hike from the parkin lot to the park is hella long...youd be hikin for about an hour if you went straight w/out stoppin......

 
yah line chick and i poached it last year and hiked up with our skis and shit and got stoped and they told us to go back down but we just kept goin.. saved 40 bucks each it was sick. park is nice all... evan in august and in june it is nice too its better then my park is in the winter... im heading up for 2 montsh

i was up there last year end of june to end of july and public was going off, there were maybe 6 good size tables back to back at one point, roller section and then a decent spine/table at the very bottom, and then also the pipe with two hits at the bottom, it was possibly one of the flowest parks ive riden, very worth while,
