Mt. Hood this summer

I am trying to plan a trip to mt hood at the end of july, i hear that is the best time to go. I dont know much about it, but I am want to go for a week or so. I hear camping out with a bunch of friends is fun but where do I do that? How much is a pass for the public park? How much money do I plan on bringing if im going to camp.

Please just give me info I would need in order to go..thanks!
 
Hey im not sure july is the best time to go. I heard around that time the snow melts at the bottom and you have to hike down to the chair. Dont quote me on that though. Try to go by mid june when the epic park is set up. I know a hood summer pass is around 800 plus so if you go try to hike up or maybe buy day tickets which are around 50 a day. Theres a place near timberland called the air strip, theres free camping there. Its not right by the mtn so incorporate daily gas in your budget. Have fun!
