Mt Hood summer skiing

so me and my buddies are thinking of driving up to hood this summer for a week, but not doing a camp because we're poor.
does anyone know how much it costs for a ticket? and i read somewhere that windells has a access pass and you dont have to be a camper?
its probably $300 just in gas money from reno and then we'll have to figure out like a motel or something.

anyone else have any thoughts? especially ticket info...

if you really dont want to camp i recommend Huckleberry inn. I wouldnt recommend eating there cuz its a rip off, but if you have a good group of people its really cheap per person. Last year we were in a room that comfortably slept 8. There was only 4 of us and i recall it only costing like 17 a night or something. So surprisingly you can get some good deals there if you have a lot of people. As for tickets they are like 48 for a day ticket and 8 something for a season pass.

You can camp at the base bring a propane grill and eat for 50 for the week. clip tickets from the racers who are finished by 10AM. They want ice and we want slush. If u know anyone that works a camp u can offer to be a digger and then ride till dark for free. I have stayed for 2 weeks camping in the woods and drinking beer/whiskey for $150, but was really smelly after that.
