Need some Portland/Mt Hood insider help, figured this was the best place to go.

I'm currently up in Seattle and planning a 4-5 day trip to Mt Hood area in late spring or early summer for a ski/mtb/camping trip extravaganza.

Definitely planning on riding in Hood River, most likely going to try n shuttle Post Canyon a few times. I might try and squeeze in a day riding at Sandy Ridge as well.

Also I wanna get in at least 1-2 days of skiing, I've been drooling over spring edits at Timberline for about 15 years now...

I'm going to be camping out of my truck for a few days, looking to be away from people preferably with some Mt Hood views to enjoy post bike/ski beers.

My main question for you guys: What is the best time or month to go?.... I'm more focused on warmer/dry camping weather and trail conditions than I am snow/skiing conditions. Any recommendations on good camp spots, hiking spots, or restaurants/dive bars?

Also if anyone wants to meet up or rip some laps I'm always open for new shred/alcohol consuming buddies. Any local knowledge helps thanks !

Those are definitely the places to bike, if you go late enough and the trail is clear you could do Timberline to Town trail from the resort down to Rhododendron. Also if you wait long enough, the spring pass goes on sale for $119, which is an amazing deal for the quality spring park laps. I would go at the beginning of May because that is when they used to have West Coast Sessions and snow totals are historically the highest then https://www.timberlinelodge.com/mountain/historical-snow-data

I’m actually at SeaTac airport now on my way to Mt. Hood for a week long ski bike trip.

I’ll be back late July if you want to ski or ride.

If you can, try biking at bachelor in bend. Ski bowl in Mt. good is good too.

15 years is a long time to dream about something. That’s longer then many people been alive.

Never been spring skiing at meadows but timberline is really good.
