what happened yesterday some people told me that people got trapped up there but i never flipped on the news..

yea some hikers got stranded and they had to call off the rescue cause of the weather. 60plus mph wind and a couple feet of snow made it too dangerous for the helis to fly or something.

They didnt call of the rescue they just cant go as high as they want to because of the wind. i am sure the wind is more than 60 mph. and its snowing really hard. the weather here right now is not good for this rescue! but they are trying high tech gadgets to help find the missig hikers.

people are retarded to go hiking in so high up in a blizzard, they disereve to get left out there. now if you were trapped up there and skiing, thats a different story, plus i dont think a skier would get trapped up there, id just ski down.

you really have to be one of the stupidist pieces of shit I have seen in my entire life. I wish u were stranded somewhere and then u will realize that its not always that easy. You should do us all a favor and throw urself off a fucking cliff.

they are still searching but there is a big storm that is supposed to move in tonight that will bring another foot or two of snow. doesnt look too good.

damn that sucks...i wish that strom was on sudbury massachusetts right now instead of mt hood

those people are just retarded, dont go hike when its supposed to snow a fucking shit load....now these hikers are going to endanger the lifes of hundreads of others trying to rescue them, these people need to be smart when they hike espicially in the winter time...hike in the summer you fucking retards, when its safer

So make sure you never ski in an area that could slide...cuz that would be stupid according to your logic. And when you do and you die I am just going to come on newschoolers and post how you should have just skied in the summer...it's safer. You clearly don't have any backcountry experience because if you did you would be able to sympothize for them because sometimes circumstances arise that are unforseable and it could happen to anyone.

Nevermind...I see that you are from Wisconsin. Go find a shrab brother and build a tow in jump out of hay bails hick boy. Maybe someday you'll get to see a real mountain and learn what it means to truly not have control of your surroundings.

these dudes went hiking and got lost up on mt hood, they found one guys body and da other 2 they dont know where they are

so technically you should stay inside your house if you know a storm is coming? Do you need a week long window of good weather to go skiing (which doesn't happen out west)? Dumbass... Those guys were very experienced climbers, summited Denali and Aconcagua... Enough said, and RIP for the first one found.

well i would agree to some degree, however, when they went first were going up, conditions were fine. Although I do believe there was some forecasting neglegence (some iffy weather was forecasted to move in when they were schedule to descend), but realistically, people climb that mountain every month of the year, as well as many other peaks in the Cascades, and well, others around the world. Sure, there seems to be some perhaps ill judgement, and since they weren't locals, they probably felt compelled to go through with it (just a supposition), but it is one thing to say in hindsight it wasnt the best idea, but to call them retarded is a completely different matter. So watch you're fucking words, bitch

oh and as mentioned, these guys were experienced. It is unfortunate that this has happened. Hopefully the other two are OK
