Ive been calling this for awhile were gonna have an average yet early winter. Snow fell around 6,500ft and up. Leaves are starting to change and the air is returning to that crisp mountain breeze. Who is stoked ro ride? Where are you clicking in this season?

Saw s couple trees starting to change in upstate ny.

No idea where I'll be riding this winter. Here there or the other place.

Kind of looking 50/50 between ny and co depending on jobs.

Great news. I was out at the coast wondering about that this weekend. What a crazy storm. It totally wiped out the stage and everything from the hood to coast finish. Even the big handicapped portapots got flipped over. Weather has changed and now anything is possible.

Seems like winter passes could go on sale anytime now. Probably going to go for the fusion pass again and hope for a better year at Skibowl.

Can't hardly stand the wait, I didn't get many days in early season last year and then winter ended super early, haven't even been able to enjoy my summer, I've been missing skiing so bad. Been working on my backyard setup to pass the time.

duuude we got an early snow storm here in mass it dumped last night!

Wait, your claiming the dusting from a rare (read: historic) PNW August storm during the hottest PNW summer as evidence that we'll have an average winter?

Stretch?

naw boss 2005 started the 10 year cycle 2006-09 were great heavy winters in the northwest. Every 10 years this happens and were at the tail end, nature points to a solid winter as long as the el Nino stays north and south of the pnw.

The ice cleared from the Muir webcams. Confirmed a dusting at 10000 feet in the cascades.

Winter shall be glorious! I probably wont be on lifts this winter though, making a change so I can ride daily again.

Nice. Seems like lifties have to work during all the best times to ski. I'd better start getting my gear organized. Winter will be here before we know it.

Are the trees really changing already? I don't think I saw the first signs of fall last year in Hood River until like early October.
