Ok, this is mainly to chip seth, andy, mark pat, mitch, ect, but anyone else who is interested, check it out anyway.

anyway, we NEED to get to snowshoe this year, at least once. if we took a trailer with bikes, and a van, gas would be cheap, and we could tent camp, cheap, bad ass bike trip. anyway, i found this video, it is SICK. very well edited, sick footie, if your not pumped after it, you simply arnt alive. herse the link

now, while thats kinda a drive, there are a few SICK places a lil closer. there is seven springs, which has super cheap lift tickets (approx. 15 bucks), and some sick DH. that could easily be a one day trip.

now, there is another place, about 4 hrs away in illinois. What? illinois? yeah, its called CPX, or challenge park extreme. it has skateparks, paintball, and some amazing freeride, northshore style stuff, as well as some sweet DH and XC stuff. there arnt alot of pics on thier site, but ive seen a bunch elsewhere, its a sick place. heres thier website:

anyway, we should start looking into some of these trips now, as im shure we will all have to call off work for a few days, and figure out all that other shit that goes with stuff like this. anyway, yeah, gonna be a sweet summer.

look on ebay for iron horse SGS bikes. they are sick, top of the line componentry, and big, long travel frames. they are dirt cheap too. idunno how they do it. i ride the g spot, which is pretty much the same bike, from 2002, and its sick. thats of course if you wanna get into freeride and dh stuff.

count me in. my mom has a van too, you can take the bench out and the two captain chairs and easily fit 5 or so bikes in it.

As long as you have a couple people per car, gas isn't expensive for a 5 hour trip. So I don't really think we all need to stuff into 1 van. I think we should shoot for like the 3rd weekend in June or something like that, have everybody try to get a 3 or 4 day weekend off work. I wanna get to rays this weekend so everybody that wants to go should pm me. My bikes all fixed up so i think i can get the backflip this time.

 
we should just organize a mass snowshoe trip with people from all over ohio/indiana and whoever else wants to go, if anyeone doesnt have a bike dont worry about it snowshoe rents sick bikes right there so dont freak if your neon green huffy is totally rusted

also, snowshoe has camps and shit goin on so we should try to advoid those. however, the monster park event (world class pros DESTROY a massive freeride park) is on july 4th. that'd be cool. and andy, you have that big blue trailer, itd hold a ton of bikes.

Hey, im dead set on making this happen, and making it all run smooth. im with chip on this one, anyone who wants come, and well have a massive weekend of biking, camping, ect. heres the info you all need to know for the snowshoe trip:

Rates:

Park Pass

Includes access to Bike Park, Ballhooter Lift and all other trails.

One Day Pass - $20

Park and Shuttle Pass - $35

Trail Pass

Includes access to cross country and downhill trails. (Access to Park or Ballhooter lift not included)

One Day Pass - $10

Trail and Lift Pass - $20

Trail, Lift and Shuttle Pass - $35

Shuttle Pass

Includes access to Bike Shuttle running from the bottom to the top of the mountain.

1 / 2 Day Shuttle Pass - $15

All Day Shuttle Pass - $25

This stuff is confuing, but you can figure about 30 dollars a day to ride. kinda pricy, but not too bad to ride the East Coast Whistler.

now, if you dont have a good bike, or your bike isnt well suited for the type of riding we will be doing that day, they have sick rental bikes. heres info on those:

XC bikes are $25 dollars a half day, 35 a whole day

For Freeride bikes, they Rent out Kona Stinkys. Thes should handle most DH stuff, and they are a lot cheaper to rent then the DH bikes. Rates for them are: 75 a day. kinda sucks. Use your bike unless is a really lightweight XC bike.

If yah wanna spend the green, they do offer Full on DH bikes. But they are 125 a day. if ya got the green they’d be a blast.

So, that’s the deal with rentals, now, for dates, heres some potential ones. We could go for the annual freeride festival, which has a ton of free shit (including demos for you guys with XC bikes) its Friday though Sunday, and the following Monday is memorial day. so that could easily be a 4 day weekend, and while its gonna be crowded, it should be a blast. 1– 3pm: Free Bike Demos from Kona

4 – 7pm: Happy Hour and Cookout at the Junction. Enjoy live DJ entertainment from DJ Judd, giveaways and an All-American Cookout on the patio of the Junction Restaurant

5 – 7pm: Mechanical Bull Riding outside of the Mountain Adventure Center

7 – 9pm: Bike Jousting Competition

8pm - 10pm: Live entertainment in the Junction Restaurant by Fat Daddy Blues Band

Sunday, May 29

10am – 12pm: Group rides with guides from Snowshoe’s Bike Park Staff. Let our Park Guides show you all the latest trails and features in the Park and on the Western Territory.

4 – 7pm: Happy Hour at the Junction. Gather with fellow riders over a few of your favorite drinks at the Junction Restaurant. Live DJ entertainment from DJ Judd and happy hour prices all evening.

5 – 7pm: Mechanical Bull Riding outside of the Mountain Adventure Center

Take in all the weekend's activities with our Freeride Festival Package:

Includes two nights lodging, all access mountain bike pas for two days, breakfast two mornings, Saturday evening cookout and Saturday and Sunday happy hour with live entertainment and giveaways. Packages start at: $199 per person, double occupancy.
