Mt Baker

Baker is overhyped. It rains more than it snows, the locals are all dicks, the mountain is flat and mainly groomers, lift lines are an hour long most of the time, and everything is way overpriced. Im so tired of it im probably not going to ski there this season. I would to BC if i were you.

My cousin went to Mt Baker once and had to buy a new pair of skis because of all the core shots, I would avoid it.

Went to baker last year and it rained for the entire weekend. Total buzzkill. Locals said it rains about 50% of the time, even at the summit.

What about other resorts in WA? Stevens, Apental, etc? I'll be in whistler and I'm homing to do a few road trips. Revy and the rest of the Interior is vary far and is a bitch to get too from whistler, especially if there's new snow. The highways are kind of sketchy.

Rain showers likely, Rain likely, Rain, Showers possible, Rain, Heavy rain expected. It's all the same.

I've found that snorkels actually trap too much rain here in the PNW and could easily lead to an accidental drowning while riding. I will be testing out a scuba tank/mask combo at Baker this winter to ensure I don't drown from the torrential rain.

id suggest something like this

You should probably just avoid washington in general unless you want to soaked to the bone every day. I would stay put if I was you, you guys actually get pow up there

I don't know why this is so negative... Any time i've been there the longest lift line has been 5 min... (and i've only been on weekends or holidays) and as for the rain, just look at the forecast and see how cold its gonna be! As with a lot of Northwest mountains on the coast, it can rain! Bottom line is, check the forecast, if it seems alright then give it a go!

Who are you? Cause I know all the locals and I DONT KNOW YOU.

So how do you know that Baker is cool?

You must be the luckiest man alive. What they say is true, Baker blows. I only go there for the breakfast burritos (which are way overpriced).

Don't go.

Jan26th of last winter..... stayed at some guys trailer and cabin he rents out right below baker. Baker got pounded that week before. We got 15 inches the night before, and it snowed all day. Must have been one of the first 20 people on the mountain that day. Chair 6 opened up later in the day and those were the deepest freshest tracks I have ever skied. Hardcore local gathering for sure though. It seems to be their mountain.

^The think that Baker belongs to them and if you even look at their pow patch bro...ooo they'll give you some gnarlyyyy looks brooo..Baker actually is fucking awesome and has deeeeep fucking snow. EVERYONE SHOULD GO TO BAKER AND SPRAY A LOCAL

Yeah. It does belong to us. Cause it sucks, and we're the only ones who go ride in the rain. So we get bragging rights.

You need to take a seat, no one here gives even one fuck that you know a bunch of shitty locals that are notorious for being assholes, keep your rain and your shitty attitude

hey fuck you. mama is the best.

sorry we have to explain our climate and somehow people dont get it. our base is below 3500 feet. top barely 4k, combine that with such close proximity to the ocean. tell me what you get? go take any climatology class and you will find out.

Mt baker is near my cousins house in bellingham and we wanted to try it out. It was raining in bellingham so we assumed it would be dumping on the mountain... Wrong, it turned out to be fucking pouring down rain. AND THE LIFT LINES WERE STILL OVER 20 MINS! The mountain blows major cock. No wonder washington doesn't have a tourism board, noone would ever want to go there

You're a big weener and you probably have a small one.

I don't know the shitty locals. I am one. Yay!

With all this rain, I'm impressed you guys have the record for biggest annual snowfall ever, and Mt. Baker is considered the snowiest resort in the world. I will now make it a priority to come to Mt. Baker and act as shitty as possible, including spraying everyone in sight.
