Mt. Baker Trip

Hey,

My friends and I are planning a trip up to Baker and I was wondering if anyone had any advice on lodging/snow camping, good but cheap eats, areas to shred(we are all advanced to expert riders so we will give anything a try), people to maybe show us around.........anything you got will be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Ren

You can camp anywhere your tent fits in the woods and anything with a blue square or higher will be pretty xtreme~

haha ok. Surprised an explosion that big didn't make it into the news.

So on a serious note, got any advice on where to ride oh wise mtbakerteacher?

are you an instructor?

Mitzi's is usually pretty fresh, same with big creek. sneaky pete if you're feeling adventurous, but i heard that's only for experts, and it's on the snowboard side of the mountain anyways.

Steer clear of Mt. Baker! After the esplosion it's not even worth the three hour drive from Bellingham.

man I love the mountaineers

but i've had some bad experiences at their baker lodge. the trip leader didn't really know what she was in for,and it was dumping snow, so I ended up having to break trail for a few hundred feet in like 5 feet of freshh. After saving the poor woman, who'd fallen into a bank and couldn't dig herself out, i discovered she didnt know how to get into the building in the dark. so i went and got a cabin in glacier. I would recommend that hotel, but they tore it down. but don't worry, its hard not to have a good time at baker. taco lobos in bham is ridiculous good mexican food ! so good.

How's the snow situation there right now?

Utah is dry, and has been for a couple weeks.

I want out for a minute.

I went last weekend and it was sloppy joes. But I still had a blastttt

I wouldn't mind it getting a bit colder, though.
