Im going to be a freshmen next year and idk were to get a pass. Were are you guys getting a season pass? I cant decide to get a pass at Big Sky or Moonlight.

There are other threads that discuss this in the regional postings. It all depends on what your looking for. If your interested in park read the big sky park thread a few posts down. It talks a fair amount about both big skys and moonlights park. I did not ski any park this year. In years past IMO moonlight rails, boxes, jibs and what not are more fun. Big sky has more jumps, some poeple like them, some don't, the jumps from a couple years ago were not so good imo. Big sky has way more terrain for crusin, and the tram, challanger, and hike access chutes have lots of fun terrain. Moonlight is kinda flat imo, they have the headwaters that are hike access runs which are sick and lone tree which is fun but short. The decision largly depends on who your friends are and where they ride, I mean you want to ride with your crew thats what makes skiing fun right.

MAKE NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION

If you buy a moonlight pass also buy a big sky card for 50 bucks. Big sky card equals first week of season free, last week of season free, and a week in jan. is half off. This will let you get a few days at big sky for crazy cheap.

If you buy a big sky pass you can hit up moonlight on $20 day, I think there might even be two of them. Also a half day at moonlight is fairly cheap so if you want to ride moonlights park on a nice sunny day or lap the headwaters just cruise up to the mountain and get there at like 11 and fuel up for nonstop lapping in the afternoon till close.

It also depends on how often your going to go skiing. If your going 4 or 5 times a week I would get a big sky pass, or a lone peak pass if you want to be a baller. If your going 1 or 2 days a week, moonlight and big sky card would probably be a good choice.

Good Luck

i will be a freshman and i have a big sky pass. i know a lot of kids getting big sky passes this next year. moonlight is really fun though. just not as much terrain and you have to work a little more for it. both parks are super fun imo. if your gonna ride moonlight though, you're not gonna see much sunlight.

im also going to be a freshman next year, and was wondering about Bridger since it hasnt been brought up yet?

Bridger Bowl is a ton of fun with the ridge and schalsmans but if your looking to ski park its not the place to go, however there park is getting bigger and bigger every year. its also 15 miles from bozeman so defiantly the closest option. but if your in the dorms i think there is still a bus to bigsky that leaves from bozeman so thats pretty convenient as well.

duuuuuuuude

i met you at registration man. didn't picture you as an asian,

Big Sky for sure, dude its gonna be sick!

if you want the best park come to the dark side, otherwise big sky's terrain is bigger and better.

No, No, but to my prior statement a half day at moonlight is actually only $5 cheaper for a college student so if your going just buy a full day

I'm getting a pass to bridger and big sky. Shit theres a lot of people on here goin there next year lets start a crew hhaa

So I still haven't decided where I'm getting a pass to (probably where the most people are going so I can get rides)

But how many of you guys aren't freshman? Cause I'm transferring out as a sophomore but am living in the dorms so I need shit to do while all the freshman are doing the whole orientation week thing.

Sick.

So that means for those who have already done orientation the 24th-29th is pretty much just a free for all? All I have to do is do class registration and a couple other things on the 24th but that's it for the week.

I'm gonna be a sophomore up there, getting a Bridger pass and possibly a Big Sky pass. I have a car and will be driving Andrew up skiing multiple times. If you kids need a ride, hit me up.

yea ive already met rickroller and cottage.Steeze and they are legit. I have a feeling its gonna be a fun year.

My friend andy is coming out too, idk his SN but he's legit.

We just need one big NS get together when everyone shows up, I feel like its gonna be sick, and even better once the snow falls.

i was thinking about posting NS logos with a number to call if seen and they reconize, or a link to a NS thread

There will be a NS sticker on my door, phone, longboard, and helmet...plus multiple articles of clothing.

I don't think it will be too hard to find other NSers.

yeah, I was going to take mine up until like 3 days ago when my parents informed that I cant...well guess its public transit for me again

mooching rides and taking buses, I live for this shit.

its a shame im probs going to only be able to ski weekends :/

first semester barely hits ski season.

my guess they'll open round thanksgiving which is late novmember. and finals I think are like first week of decemeber

None of you are ever allowed into my apartment. Ever. No skiers allowed.

But on the real, I'm Jack Knill. You can add my ass on FB and ask me shit about MSU and stuff. I'd be happy to give rides up to Big Sky for a menial fee. Or if you see my lanky-ass self wandering around campus give me a holler. I probably won't assault you. MSU is the illest. Coolest people, best snow, mellowest vibe. Good choice.

And all you scrawny freshmen can suck my dick. I'm the best goddamn skier in Bozeman.

Here's me:

Big Sky blows dick. Don't ski t(here).

But if you do, I live here. Sooooooooooooooooooooooyeah.

Headed out to MSU. Living in Roskie. Skiing Big Sky most likely. I'm studying photo, so hit me up if your tryin to ski and shoot. My blogs in my sig so check out some of my pics.

Fuck yeah i just set up my schedule for Tuesday Thursday classes from 1-7:30. If everything goes to plan i'll be living across the street from Hapner, and i'll be drivin my wrangler up to bridger most weekends

I still don't know where the fuck I'm living this year, they gaurenteed me a dorm but told me there's a possibility I wont find out which one until I actually get out there

I just visited MSU monday and fell in love with it! Im applying in september for fall 2012 and plan to stay in Roskies! I spent the night up at Big Sky and loved it, so i'll most likely get a pass there and bring my car so I can drive up a lot. so i'll see all you guys in a year! haha

and from my take on orientation they seem like they are kinda fed up with it and are getting a bit stricter
