warren miller doesnt showcase some of the most progressive skiing in the world. Abma's switch 3 in the Hit List trailer was just that. I would agree that they both lack creativity, but, In my opinion, MSP makes up for it by having some of the best skiing and by far the best cinematography around

Actually one of the first things i thought when i was watching the trailer was this seems alot like a warren miller movie, what with the ridiculous helicopter follows on jumps and weak althlete commentary throughout. I mean I feel bad comparing Warren Miller to MSP cus Warren Miller is the man, but yeah, it's starting to look all set up and overproduced like MSP has fallen behind.

what it comes down to is warren miller has been making movies for FIFTY YEARS! and msp is "new" compared to that, and there allready being looked at like old farts, not to mention there haters when there the ones we hate! fuck MSP there almost as bad as h30 in the queerness sense.

 
Warren Miller films have come a long way in the last few years. Impact wasn't as good as Journey, but they brought in some footage to attract the younger market.

The one thing they do have is Cash and a relationship with Sony, so they can put together a very expensive soundtrack.

It all comes down to money folks, and WM has loads of it.

Unfortunately no matter how "gay" you may think Warren Miller is, realize that it is a money/hype machine for our industry. Sure we might not want it being the ultimate representation of our sport to the general public, but I've never seen crowds at a smaller premiere like I've seen at a Warren Miller movie that shows four times in two days on one city stop.

what like making entertaining ski movies for 40 years or something lame like that? 40 years ago warren miller would have been the most "core" progressive thing on earth.
