if they actually WERE bad movies don't you think people would have stopped supporting them by now? And they haven't. Just because a few thousand kids who never ski anything but rails hate their films it doesn't mean that no one else in the world likes their movies. Thier movies are universal and aply to every aspect of skiing and not just the jib scene. It is so egotistical and self centered to be like "they suck and no one likes their movies. I know this because if i don't like their movies, obviously no one else will, because i know everything." Your opinion is your opinion and you are entitled to that but bandwagoning makes me sick, especially when jibber rats who never have had the privelidge to actualy ski can't appreciate and understand a well rounded ski film. PEACE
 
i dont diss the skiing you tard, i diss the fact that the editing is shit. i love otehr movies. and to tellyou the truth, my favorite movie is bron from ice which is all bc. dont say shit about people you dont know. ive skied alot more backcountry than you think. its the fact that the entire movie is in 10% speed to a song that shouldnt be slowed down that much. "derrrrr you havent skied anything but rails" what kind of a fucking remark is that? me saying their movies is shit is my openion. dont tell me that i cant hate msp. if you give msp's footage to someone that knows how to make an entertaining movie, ill buy it. but i think there is nothing worse than a not so epic heli shot in 10% speed. maybe a heli shot in full speed to show the person hauling or an up close shot in slow mo...they gotta balance that shit out. i dont jump on the bandwagon, i have my own thoughts and reasons for these thoughts.
 
i like it, its something different than the techno and rap stuff. and i do like s6 and it was just different

that shot where Eric H name come on. holy shit that is sooooooo sick. and i like how they do alot of two people skiing at the same time.
 
Doubles shots were pretty dope, and a fucking hella stomped switch double back? word... standard MSP editing and music though, it'd be nice to see them try to change things up a bit once in a while... for example, not playing every clip in slow-mo that's so slow you could go and make a ham sandwich while sammy does a switch 9, and still be back in time to watch him tweak the grab.
 
if by "every aspect of skiing" you mean exclusively big-budget shots and enormous hits that very few people hit, i'd say you're right!

oh but guess what... that's not even close to every aspect.

I'd like to see movies that cover everything. snowboarding seemed to figure it out. plllleeeaaseee say we're next
 
un-skiing wise this was probably the worst trailer i have ever seen. everythign about it just seemed so dull and boring. it needed something else.
 
PBP usually finds a good balance between all the aspects. i love skiing pow, but its not really entertaining to watch, so i like pow shots in moderation
 
they aren't BAD movies, but they are a BAD company. they do everything within their power to keep smaller companies down, smaller companies that they are afraid of, because they know they are capable of making movies that could compete with theirs, and within a few years, movie to movie, outshine them. so instead of focusing their efforts on making a better movies, their efforts go into manipulating sponsors to get money that was at one point going to be designated to small companies, manipulating sponsors to get athletes not INTO their films, but OUT of the smaller films, they focus efforts on getting smaller companies out competition by getting sponsors to not fund smaller companies, and then offer the head filmer of that smaller company more money to film for them, with that sponsor money gone they take the deal cause they don't have the money to make a good film anyhow without it. They do all this to because they know if they put their efforts into only making movies, they can't keep up with what is cool because they are fucking gay, and can't compete with their movies alone. alot of you will say 'that's business', but fuck that, skiing's best and most creative film makers can't get a decent budget for more than a year straight because of their constant bullshit.

alot of this shit has added up over the years, and alot of people don't support them for these reasons. they are doing a disservice to ski films as a whole, its not like they matchstick is super creative or innovative, you can expect the same stock movie every year, the only reason people many people buy them is because they want to see what their favorite riders did this year, not what msp did this year.

FUCK MSP, spend your money on rage films, level 1, theory 3. all three of which either are, or are becoming well rounded ski flicks. consider it an investment into quality films for the future.

any one of those companies, given even half of MSP's budget, would blow them out of the water.
