louis couldn't make snow yesterday when it was cold because the power went out like 3 times. that plus the rain will hold them back a bit.

it's supposed be be 10 degrees Thursday and Friday and the ground isn't frozen so that was a pretty good sign it was gonna be a no go

Blue isnt opening this weekend. They said they will mid december.

Blue has some big piles up at the top but the rest of the runs are green.

All the resorts are struggling to keep the snow they have. I live right at Horseshoe, and run the lifts when open. We had almost 40 inches that we lost during the heavy and warm rains on Thursday and Friday. The snowmaking guns were going all day yesterday. Nothing today. MSLM has been making snow with similar conditions as Horseshoe (as they are less than 10kms apart, but MSLM has better snowmaking abilities. Blue was not making snow on either day from what I can tell. I was in the area on Saturday and didn't see anything going, and the temperatures were around 2-3* yesterday.

If you are willing to do 6 sauveur is open in quebec and has 4-5 runs and their mini park set up. I imagine the other hills in that area are also semi-open as well. If you don't care for speeding tickets you could probably get there in 3-4.

How was it.
about that thought of biking above, the ol kona is still seeing use and its december 22nd and getting warmer, went bombin down a tree run today and the slalom motions almost made it feel like i was skiing for a sec...is this what ski-drought syndrome really feels like? what happened to winter :'(

They have the schoolyard, you can get it off of the gentle ben chairlift or sundance, its on the side of gentle ben, made for beginners. Also, the outback, which has bigger features then the junkyard which I'm pretty sure is over on moonstone side, but I don't think they have opened it yet this year.

Also I have a question, I only recently started riding louis and I noticed the Outback closes at random times. Might just be me being high as fux but it seems they just close it at their own discretion. I was there multiple times before 3:30 and the lift was stopped. No hate intended at all I'm just wondering if its still open at all because I really want to ski it tmrw
