i wanna get an mp3 player and im looking for opinions between a Creative Zen micro or an ipod mini

the zen micro's are wicked, i dunno about the touch pad thing, i hear they're really sensitive. check em out though.

the new ipod mini's not the older one's but the newer ones are prob the way to go. 18 hour battery life, stronger, apple changed some of the tech specs, and its quite a bit cheaper then before.

^ so do you know for sure they have 18 hour battery life, or that is just what apple tells you? Cuz their batteries suck in the past models. I would stay away from an Ipod if I were you. Too many people I know have had problems with them.

But then again if you want to jump on the bandwagon and be cool like everyone else, by all means get an Ipod.

The major benefit of not getting an Ipod, is that to put music on an Ipod, it has to be in a certain format, and it has to be put on with Itunes. With an IRiver and most other MP3 players, you just plug it in and it acts like another hard drive, you can just drag and drop the files onto it. No software needed. They can also support more file formats than Ipod.

Its only $80 more than an Ipod, and it comes with more features. The ones I listed above and it has a built in radio, built in recorder. Plus the fact that IPods have always had questionable batteries. I did a lot of research before buying an MP3 player. I eventually chose the IRiver HP120(which was last years model) its been great for me.

^ yeah i guy at school has one, i forgot the model but his iriver is wicked. it has a colour screen and you can play movies on it.

the rio one is fucking sick. last time i checked it was $250 but since they lowered the price of the ipods, i bet its price has gone down. check it out before you make a descision. it got like a 9/10 on a review. apple needs to come out with a new ipod soon, otherwise, they are finished. in the past 5 years they ahve been better then the competitors for 4 of them. other companies are comming out with better products now.
