Just an observation I noticed...how many people have MP3 players and how overly used they are. I've seen fucking couples on dates and the guy or girl or guy and girl would have an earbud sticking in one ear. They would be walking around Rideau street downtown or something and they'd have the fucking earbud hanging. Like your on a date, why the fuck are you listening to your music while your on a date? Is your date that boring?

Don't get me wrong MP3 players are great and I love mine. But come on, do you really need to be using it 24/7? I've also seen people around who will ALWAYS have an earbud hanging from one ear. For instance at school. Some people will have an earbud hanging out for the entire day and try to talk to people but have trouble hearing them because their damn music is on and are too stupid to think that turning it off would allow them to communicate better.

Also, if you go spend a day with your friends, sometimes people will also have an earbud hanging in their ear the whole time. I have a couple friends who every time I talk to them they perform the same ritual: they say "What? (take ear bud out)" and I have to fucking repeat myself every goddamn time. Maybe im just a prick but fuck...you can live without music for a few minutes to have a conversation! But listening to music on a date is just so whack.

For some reason seeing one earbud hanging from an ear just bugs me. Why not just use both if you want to listen to music? Or why not just use it if you want to talk to people?
 
hahaha i feel the same, if you're with a group of friends why do you need to have music on? are your friends THAT boring?

I only use (well used since it got stolen) my iPod when either i was walking alone or skiing.

 
im a manger at little caesar (im 18) and these 2 little shits came into work with there ipod ear buds in and order pizza... those little fuckers....
 
Yeah the guy who works at the canteen at the sports facility I work at always has a goddamn earbud in.
 
haha mckay always has his fucking music playing and his earthingers on, I always end up having to repeat myself like 3 times.

but it dont bother me seeing that i have to have shit repeated to me all the time since im hearing impared.
 
^^ haha so true. Yeah, I have mine in alot at school, but almost never when talking to my friends. I've probably done it twice. I see people with them in all the time. or even people with them both in, and talking to people. It's ridiculous.
 
I can be accused of rocking one the one ear piece. Not on dates or anything but when im in school or at work or whatever. I dont let it hang though, they go around my neck and then one goes into the ear.

i dont know, it help pass the tiem and you can still here, i think you guys are getting a little upset over nothing. (although on dates and shit is not cool)
 
i dont get why people use mp3 players while skiing. I think its a safety hazard if you cant heaer whats happening and i like talking to my friends while skiing
 
I listin to mine at school, but i take my headphones out to talk to people. I know people like that tho, you try to talking to them "WHAT!?". I also love listing to mine skiing, and in class to make shit go by faster, but not on a date.
 
i got my first ipod 3 CHRISTMAS'S AGO and some kids just get theres and there like o yeah i live ipods they are so cool
 
i duno listening to my beats snowboarding really helps me focus. it gives me a vibe. and nothing makes you steezier than having a vibe.
 
one of the things i somethings think is pretty stupid is running with your music cause youre running down the road and all you hear is the music and you dont know when a car's coming (i've never ran with an ipod but id gues youc ant hear)

it just seems kind of dangerous also i think that having the headphone thing in is kind of a fashion thing with some people like they think it makes them look all cool that they have their white headphone cable hanging all over them

whenever im listening to music its where i can sit and dont need to interact otherwise i just get all jumbled up and confused
 
i also hate it when people are listening to one ear of music while music is already playing somehwere else and your talking to them and such, thats real gay and i hate when 2 songs are playing at once, it just doesnt really go together

 
Getting a quality product because it's good doesnt make you a bandwagon jumper, at least to me. I've had my iPod for 2 1/2 years, I dont care if people are buying them now.
 
definately. once i even saw a kid who didnt have an ipod but he had his earbud in one ear not listening to anything. it was really kind of pathetic how bad he wanted to be cool with his headphones.
 
dude. screw you, whats wrong with too much music?

just kidding. i totally understand, infact, the most use my iPod gets right now is acting like a flash drive for my school work. i listen to music when i'm working on photoshop stuff at school, but other then that, not a whole lot (till skiing starts of course).
 
its just general disrespect if some asshole is going to listen to music well you are trying to talk to him don't bother talking to him/her and if your dateing a guy/girl and they have a bud stuck in there ear just leave or at least make it clear you don't really apreciate this disrespect
 
how about when they take the ear bud out and hang it over their ear mid-conversation?? I HATE that!!! why do you have to let it dangle so you can still hear the music? do you have your own theme music in there? FUCKCCC

im constantly listening to my ipod but im constantly doing shit like biking, skating, trampoline-ing... shit like that and then when me friend is constantly bitching that he has to say shit 2 or 3 times. i would never do it while trying to have a convorsation or going out with someone tho
 
its why my volleyball team used to listen to "eye of a tiger" really loud, twelve of us packed into a civic. it pumps you up, gives you energy
 
ha i dont even own one of those the only thing i have is a walkman from when i was 8

but im saving to buy ans 8 gig sansa

but ya im only buying it so i can listen to it when nobody is around

i hate it when my firend listens to music all the time when were areun like all the time
 
yeha thye are a fad, it just a bunch of people trying to make themselves look cool cuz they liek music, However most of these people have like 200 songs in total, whihc shows they know shit about jack. They are posers.  MP3 players are still useful , i use mine when i have afull day of stufff, otherwsie i kinda enjoy the silence cuz i am alwyas listening to music at home. 
 
yea dude... one kid i know even used to wear headpones and bob his head up and down w/out anything even attatched to the headphones. he just wore them around to look cool.
 
Maybe i'm just a bad person but i'll have the one earbud in when im walkin in the halls between classes cause i had it in class..makes it go by so much faster...ill take it out to talk to ppl tho...
