id say save a little while longer and go for an ipod, but if you wanna spend somehting cheap, just get a cd player that can play mp3's, mp3 player, the cheap ones anyways, can only hhold a few songs, and mini disc, its good an all, but not as good as ipod, mini disc over mp3 tho

mp3 cd player, because files are so much smaller most have antishock up to like 5 minutes. can fit 150-200 songs on a dick with infinite disks. batteries will last a solid 8 hrs id say on my iRiver slimX

^ i have a cd player a panasonic SL-Mp50 that can read mp3 cd's, but i hate skiing with it cause it find it bulky, that why im leaning towards something smaller like mini disc or mp3. I would totally go for an Ipod there sick as hell, but a poor university student can't save that much money. I need a happy meduim.

my minidisc runs for 52 hours on ONE AA battery. One battery lasted my entire last drive from Whistler to Toronto.

id go for the mp3 playr that just hooks up to ur laptop or comp and recharges, its deff. a good deal u got nuttin to deal wit no cords no batteries its so simple

So, if u have a ipod, can u just download songs from like kazaa and stuff? I wanna get one for christmas. i don't have like any cds that i've actuallt listened to in the past like 3 years, so i can't do that. my freind has a lot of cd's though so i could possibly copy some off his cd's.

ipods r hella cool....ya u can download music off kazaa and put it on the computer then download it to ur ipod.....get the biggest one which i think is 10 GB or somethin like that

Minidisc all the way, it does everything an mp3 does plus more, because you can't record from the radio or tv with an mp3 player. usually. Plus you don't have to erase songs when the memory is full, just change discs. Ipods look cool though.
