I got an internship with Betty Ford Alpine Gardens for the summer and ill be moving out there beggining of May. The garden is also housing me till August and most likely ill be staying after that for the winter. any tips on what to bring or expect for the summer. I hear its sort of quiet in the summer. If anyone lives around there, im down for having a beer when i get there.

Summer in Vail is awesome as most of the town works too hard in the winter so they make it up by enjoying summer to the fullest.

Great weather, lots going on and really friendly people.

Must do's: Friday Afternoon Club on top of Vail, mountain biking, $5 all you can eat wings at the Tap House, fly fishing....

Enjoy

good biking and kayaking.the Teva outdoor games are sometime in the summer and pretty cool to watch

Mountain Bike for sure. XC or DH. I think they let you ride the lift for free in the summer. They used to anyway. Fishing pole. The eagle river has killer fishing. as does the colorado and roaring fork just a hop skip and jump away. Skateboard. Vail has a super fun skatepark. not the best, but tons of fun. Beaver creek also has one. Advice- Try to work your ass off in the summer and save as much as you can, so you can ski as much as you can in winter!
