I am planing on moving out to Utah next year probably around Park City. How is it out there? Im going to go check it out this summer but I was just wondering what the cost of living is like out there.

move to SLC instead. its cheaper to live, and instead of driving an hour to alta and all the good skiing places its a half hour to alta and a half hour to park city. so u get park and big mtn. close by.

I couldn't have said it better myself....unless of course I said fuck like 6 times.

better to burn out...

...then fade away

however in my opinion If you can handle the drive live in PC. I just moved up here this past summer and I like it better than SLC. I am from chicago moved here for school and salt lake has gotten to me after 4 years there. don't get me wrong it is way easy, but the atmosphere in park city is just much more chill.

If you are going to go to the U of U however live in slc. You will never go to class if you live in PC. trust me.

also there are more parties in slc if you are under 21. really only bars in pc.

check it.

Ok I lived in park city last summer for about 7 weeks and I do like it better there than SLC for the party scene althuogh Im pretty damn far from UoU campus. Park city is way more expensive and the resorts arnt as good as up little Cottonwood canyon. Apartments in park city are twice as expensive unless you live with a buncha people or like in employee housing at one of the resorts ( i know deer valley offer a limited number of units for employes at 15$ per day for a hotel room you share with a stranger) I pay less than that for rent for a pretty decent sized one bedroom in salt lake and it takes me 25 minutes from my door to the lifts at alta. Stick with park city if your hellbent on it but SLC is a better choice unless your a trustfunder.

God is an American.

I'm thinking of living in PC next year...I've spent a ton of time there ad in slc and personally i think that you can find reasonably priced living arrangements if you try hard enough or find a roomate...^ as for the skiing...yes the backcountry is better in little cottonwood but park city's park is killer

yeah park city is sick but dont move to park city if you are going to school here. and salt lake is much more fun more parties. and its easier to get place from salt lake

how is U of U ? seems like the university that is closest to good skiing and parks. I guess I gotta start thinking about that sort of stuff.

PC is much sicker for sure. I would live out there and ski PC and Canyons all the time, but I'm stuck in SLC. Def get a pass at Park City, great park.

I did absolutely nothing and it was everything I thought it could be.

i def would live in pc but because i love that fucking mountain the town and i have some hella dope friends there i will be movin there in december but if monet is tight slc is a better option but remember gas for driving parleys everyday opposed to a free bus in pc

live to ride , ride to live
