Hey i am from Rock Springs and i am looking to move up to jackson to bum for the season. I grew up skiing the tram, and well as much as i hate the kemmerer family for throwing 55 million to improve intermediate skiing and then bitchin out on the 20 million to fix the tram, i still want to come up there and make the most of the year. I am curious if you guys have any recommedations as to good departments to work for on the mountain. Also is it hard to find a place to stay that allows dogs? Thanks for the advice, take it easy.

I lived in jackson last winter and it was awesome. I was a liftie up there and it was aight I worked 4 full days a week and got 2 one hour ski breaks. The only downside to that is you are restricted to where you can ski becuase of stupid workers compensation rules but they bend a little bit on pow days. I didn't get in quite as much skiing as I wanted to. I would recommend getting a part time job at the mountain to get your free pass and then getting either a night job in town or work your ass off until the season starts and live off of that if you want to rip hard every day.

Rent is not cheap so definatly try to find a roomate or get a hookup living in a shithole house(some of my friends paid about 100 a month for rent I paid about 585) but overall it was amazing. Also go to the job fair in october thats the easiest way to get a job
