yea i just found a job on oahu and have made up my mind. im nervous how i will cope with out being able to ski but im thinking about taking up surfing. my question is how the fuck can i get all my shit over there without spending an assload of $$$ i looked into it for a couple minutes and the cheapest could find was around 2500 for one way shipping. anyone know any safe cheap ways to transport a whole lot of shit from colorado to hawaii?

I can't help your situation, but I'm posting to make a suggestion: learn how to fly fish, if you can't already. I've heard amazing things about off-coast fly roddin' in Hawaii.

PM CFSGabe, he lived out there for a year, he even shipped his truck out there

Watch out for large Samoan's, they dont like you Hauli boys

they have a tiny bit of snow way up on the mountains. It doesnt seem worth living there becuase its so damn expensive. Definatly learn to surf and if you can live on the north shore hanolulu is way to crowded

Go to the picture section and type in 'hawaii' and you'll see there should be two pictures of crazy rails in hawaii.

I would take up surfing and rollerskating and build a summer set-up and ski the volcano and not move to hawaii at all

sounds sick mate, jelous as fuck. have you tried getting onto the people who own the containers that go on the ships, you may be able to rent one from them, possibly on the sly

dude thats sick. people in hawaii are so friendly/welcoming.

or at least thats how i remember it wen i went. then again i went wen i was 10.

" The snow can have some very strange texture after days of exposure to the intense sun. Some runs can be quite steep and the snow can end abruptly. There is no soft vegetation underneath, only hard lava rock and abrasive cinder.

The air is very thin, less than 60% of the air pressure at sea level, and most people experience altitude sickness to some degree. "

Sounds like a good time.....

as far as sending stuff for cheap... its really hard. like that one guy said, you can usually g et a container on a barge but it can be really expensive. if you ship a car, there are some companies that will let you stuff your car with shit and ship it like that, but not all. i'd honestly advise you to sell as much as you can in CO and buy new stuff there. Shirokias will hook you up with some good electronics and scour the Star for cheap furniture/whatever else you need.

Good luck!

i fucking love hawaii man. ive been there so many times. where are you moving to on oahu? and anyways there is snow but only on the big island and not much of it. take up rollerblading and surfing and youll love it. there get there. shit is MAD expensive thougare sweet places to chill youll find them once you h because everything is shipped from the mainland so watch out for that.

wow you could not be more wrong - they were nice because you were 10, in a tourist community, and on vacation. Hawaiians dont like Hauli's at all.

Just like other people said, try and sell all the non-essentials. I'm not sure if you're planning on going back to Colorado anytime soon, but you could maybe have some friends that you really trust keep your stuff you won't need. Like most of your ski stuff.

GOOD NEW FOR YOU you can still ski out there i was out there over spring break skiing, u will never find the same snow as they do in colorado but hey its still sking

oh yeah they had that shit on rocket power too. i want to move to hawaii someday, but for now its all about skiing.

you can still ski!
