Moving to Boulder

Yes, I know there are many threads on this very subject but I have a specific question I couldn't find searching.

I'm moving out to boulder with 2 of my buddies and going to school at FRCC in the fall. Where is the best area to find houses in or around boulder? Any area we should avoid? Close to the city but a few minutes away is ideal if that makes sense
 
If you will be at FRCC I would suggest Gunbarrel. Its a bit outside of Boulder, but between Boulder and Front Range. The rent will be cheaper then Boulder as well.

I always liked living in South Boulder. Rent is cheaper and you can live in a house. Plus I never really liked the scene on the hill. But, its on the opposite end of town than front range.
 
Yeah I'd recommend South Boulder (around Broadway south of Baseline) or if you want to get more of the Boulder feel then check out the neighborhood around Boulder High (17th and Baseline)....little more expensive but a great area that will give you the true feel of Boulder.
