Moving to Banff

Hey guys, I quit my job in Toronto and am moving to Banff. I'll be out shortly after New Years after I finish working and a vacation in Costa Rica.

Now I need to find somewhere to live. In Banff. Good goddamn luck, right? I have friends who live there now so I'll have a place to crash until I can find an actual apartment. I'm looking to rent January through March or April. I know thats pretty tough. Even if I can pick up a few months in there, I'll be happy and just crash with people. I have money! Does anyone know either someone looking for a roommate or a classifieds thing online? I want to live in Banff, not Canmore or other close towns. Thanks in advance guys. See you out there this season, we'll link up for some laps and some pilsners if you're up to ride The Lake or Sunshine.

By the way, I'm fucking STOKED.

Peace!

Thanks man, you too.

I might have found a place, a group of girls I know have an opening in January. It might be filled though. Just bought a new jacket, gloves and going to get a boot fitting right now. So stoked on this season and the ability to ride everyday.

As long as you're not a broke australian, you'll be able to find a place in Banff, but more easily so in Canmore. Jobs are aplenty in Banff to subsidize skiing tomfullery.

the thing with the craig and canyon is you gotta call the numbers within minutes of the listing coming out.

Basically you have to stand and wait by a news stand.

Moving from Toronto, I'm going to in town around the 5th of January. I'll have the tri-mountain pass so you'll see me mainly at Sunshine and the Lake. I've got white, black and red striped outerwear and the see through fujis from a few years ago or ARVs from this season. Give me a holler and we'll drink pils in the chairlift! See you guys out there!

Well guys, I think I am going to Laax, Switzerland, instead. Sorry dudes! There's no where to live in Banff.

Haha, well, if I am going to ride, I might as well ride somewhere unbelievably sick.

Also, with the elimination of the Lake's park, and essentially the best jumps in the Banff area, it made my final decision not to go to Banff.
