Moving over from Scotland

I'm aiming to move over in fall to ski for the season and looking for suggestions/hints/tips on where to head for. Pretty much looking for a skiers place, not overly fussed on nightlife or having a big town near. Just looking for big mountains + snow + chilled area to live.

I like the look of Nelson and Whitewater, being a small ski area are jobs limited?

For the past two seasons I have been teaching + some coaching and have my BASI Level 2. I have started to send off emails and resumes for work. (got a work visa sorted + money to live off for a while)

Anyone have info on teaching/work/contacts in the area?

Any advice on different towns, resorts and living would be great.

Cheers!

revelstoke is pretty dope, its a nice quiet town and the skiing is insane, also its like 2 kilometers from the town so that makes it nice and convenient, i heard kicking horse is nice too, my cousin lives and works there and he says its fantastic

I have sent of a resume to revelstoke. Its defo up there on my list.

Does anyone know any of the ski schools and emails for them? It seems it might be better to speak to them rather than the H.R. departments.

Nice Nice, Go Whitewater, Nelson. its legit. Good small crowd, Chill people and a attitude that says "fuck it, lets go skiing."

Cheers for the info folks.

Pretty much decided on heading to Nelson and getting any job going, ski school or not. The 'fuck it, lets go skiing' attitude is all I'm needing!

Any heads up on other jobs in Nelson/Whitewater. Anyone worked as a lifty or washing dishes etc?

Got myself to Revelstoke. Liking it a lot so far so I'm looking for any work going. Cant wait to get out onto the mountain!

I'll be in Revy in November. Looking like there is a shit ton of ski bums heading there this year. It is a small town, so I imagine the jobs will be few and far between. resc.ca is a good place to look though.
