Moving back to new england after living in montana for a few years

If you're in your 20's, Stratton has an "under 30" pass that's currently $299. Okemo offers the same pass, but it's $620 to buy right now. I think Mt. Snow's comparable pass is for 18-26-year-olds, and might be $319?

Out of those three, which are the best in southern VT, Mt. Snow is the best for park. One of the best in the entire East Coast as well. Don't know how Okemo has been recently, but Stratton really stepped up their park game this year and this was one of their best park years in a long, long time.

exactly. stratton trees are so great because they are almost always empty but so much fun. they also have much better and steeper groomers

park wise i would lean toward snow but startton's parks are also always empty so thats a plus. only bad side is that their main park (Big Ben) is kind of a bitch to get to with no real lift near it besides a old, slower lift that is usually only open weekends

How about Sugarbush? Park isn't massive, but not bad, either. They have some real terrain as opposed to Stratton and Okemo. They're much further North on the spine so they get some decent, fluffy upslope. The only snow you'll get at Okemo and Stratton is heavy shit from Nor'easters. Plus I think Sugarbush gets about 50-100" more natural snow a year, too. I think their 20s pass is $300 or something.

My other suggestion would be Sugarloaf and/or Saddleback. I don't know anything about Saddleback's park including if they even have one, but I heard it's an awesome, low key place for cruising. But they're in the middle of nowhere, so if you're looking to be near civilization then VT is probably your best bet.

Have you thought about NH at all?

saddleback rules. go there on weekends. less of the little home mt lately and more of the corporate sellout-ness. kind of sad but still awesome.
