Shawshank has shown me how important friendship is. it also preaches the importance of hope.

the main character,Tom,thinks things through before acting but also is quick witted. I wanted to be like that. watch it

Into The Wild.

Gave me that last push in the back when leaving for an 8 month backpacking trip alone.

Best decision of my life, truly came back a different man after it.

I'm surprised to see this in the list... This movie was soo cheesy/melodramatic! I liked the idea behind it, but the main guy was full of some lame quotes.

Watching Blizzard of aahhs and Warren Miller films growing up pretty much created my passion for skiing. They are the reason I'm at the college im at and majoring in what I am.

Reign Over Me - was pretty profound for me. I've been up and down with depression from losing people in life and just life in general weighing me down. It helped show me the importance of friendship and being there for other people.

Pursuit of Happyness, Fight Club, American History X, and Monty Python and the Holy Grail

did you like turn into the Dude? cause im sure thats a 180 most people wouldnt appreciate. except maybe white russians. thats a classy drink

I really want to add Donnie Darko to my list as well.

Mostly becayse I discovered on NS, in M&A where people were discussing the plot intricacies and ended downloading it.

One of the best movies of the last decade, and definitely one of the best debut movies of young directors ever... possibly even a Swan's Song, not at all ironic that one of the main songs in the movie is Love Will Tear Us Apart.

This movie kickstarted so many careers, and also gave way to so many dreams, wishes, hopes and theories on what really happened, I have to say this movie did really affect me in the terms of shots, editing, soundtrack and message.

I wish I was a teenager again...
