Movement Skis

So the other day (Like a few months ago) I stumbled upon Movement skis and then immediately forgot about it. Then I just saw that thread about Laurent Demartin leaving, so I pulled up their website and gave it another look. does anyone have any experience with the brand, or specifically the Fly Two 105? They seem like the ski to fill the "I'm just barely too short to ride whitewalkers" hole in my chest. I'm just a lil worried about durability because I've just never seen them mainstream or whatever. Also, would I be dumb to put cast or duke pts on them? lmk what you know.

I’ve seen a couple in real life and they never looked too dinged up despite being under good skiers feet, never heard of any problems otherwise either.

The fly series are pretty light and feathery so putting the heavy ass duke pt on them would change how they feel and ski quite a lot. if your determined to do a 50/50 sort of setup then a slightly heavier, damper ski might be better for you

I don't know why you considered them light, but fly 105 in 184 weighs 2.15 per ski, and fly 115 184 - 2.3 per ski, which is pretty average.

I have the 105 and they holding up realy well. Never had some problems with them. They are pretty heavy, but are soft in the tips and tails.

I'm pretty sure Laurent has the duke pt on his touring setup with the fly 115, but I could be wrong.

Yeah no movement is a totally different brand than Moment. also, I just found out that movement only ships to Switzerland so I guess I wont be seeing those any time soon. I am still looking for a damp/chargy ski that's like 100-110 twintip and still can tour on, so if you have recommendations, lmk. and no, I cant fit a whitewalker.

Yooo here are my old movement skis from 2008, 183 x 91 width. They were my only ski for years and they ripped, i toured on them and hit park badly on them for years. Gonna take them out forsure again this season!!! I sorta replaced them with moment dw 104s and meridians which are damp and chargy

they aren't great. reckoners or benchetlers (not the 100) way better imo

I haven't skied their latest skis, but their 3-4-5 year old models were pretty average. Their skis were very intuitive, most of models were not demanding at all - big rockers, medium-soft flexes, etc. However I always disliked that skis looked like budget skis - not the thickest edges, full cap instead of semi-cap or full sidewall and so on. Don't know if this changed

the 22's go for cheaper like 559-600 thats probably why you're confused. Their website is also priced in franks not usd.

I know but 700 swiss franks is still only about 714$ usd

Moment (not Movement) Wildcat 108 comes to mind

I had a pair of Fly Swatters back in like 2012 (they became the Fly Two) and I loved them. Had them for 3-4 years and rode them all over France and Switzerland and they did great. No experience with the newer stuff but they are making more of a presence in the states which I love. Was thinking of snagging a pair myself!
