yoooo i did that boy....600 dolla's lata they look almost new...cant really tell they do good work...but yeah i need to wear one but i never have yet...
my parents have already spent 5000 bones on my teeth, and i like them just the way they are. so yeah, mouthguards phoshizzle! plus, they absorb the shock when you smash your teeth together and prevent concussions / tongue bitage
New studies have shown that they don't reduce the risk of a concussion now. I posted a big thread about this a while ago. But they are definitlely a great idea. Dental injurries suck royal. I mean they hurt like a bitch, then you look so fucked up every time to smile or open your mouth. If you're riding hard, they're definitely a good idea.
im gonna prolly snag one and just reg skiing and such just keep in a pocket but for some nar rail or something throw it in. its like a helmet it can't be a bad thing at all, just check out Ski movie III seth knows his shit.
i dont wear them cuz i just can't stand the way they feel. They're fine for the first 5 times or so you wear it, but after that they get so nasty. Dont wear a cup either, both are good ideas, just personal choice. I wear a helmet and my seatbelt in a car. not taking it so far as toget a mouthpiece tho.
I'm getting a mouthguard, yesterday i almost bit my tongue off from landing on the knuckle of a jump. I was doing a super slow 3 and right when i came around to 3 i hit the knuckle and my knees were sucked up from the jump and my knees hit my chin splitting it open which caused me to clamp down on my tongue, i have like 6 stitches on my tongue on both sides. Whenever I do ski again I'll bewearing a mouthguard
ya my mouth is spendy, lets see i've had braces twice, like 4 retaners, some wierd little key thing, a spacer thingy on the roof of my mouth, gonna have to get another retaner. so basicly if i fuck my mouth up my dad is gonna kill me
hm... mouth guard for skiing never thought about wearing one but ill condsider it now for sure... I did that to my teeth skateboarding a few years back hurt worse than my broken arm, I feel for ya man.
They help prevent concussions because they prevent your teeth from smashing together, which causes a lot of the shock that causes concussions. Also, they keep your tongue in your mouth, so you dont bite it in half and your friends dont have to listen to you.
If my tongue wouldn't have gotten in the way I'm almost positive I would have been knocked out cold, i hit soo unbelievable hard on the knuckle I'm lucky i didn't bite my tongue completely off
