Mouthguards

are teh used in squash? are the used in soccer? are theu used in ping pong? are they used in downhill racing? are they used in basketball? are they used in track and field?

^fine, i exaggerated. they do use them in basketball though, and football. mainly contact sports. but seriously, where'd you hear that mouthguards did more harm than good?

yeah when i had a soccer wind-up party once back in the day, i jumped off of a slid, and smoked my knee to my lip.

i cut it deep, i still have a small scar on my bottom lip.

mouth gards are cool, i had to wear them all the time when in karate.

Snowblades may cause cancer or tooth decay.

mouthguards are a good call...better to wear one then not to. how are you going to pcik up any girls if your teeth are f'ed or your jaw is wired shut? skiing with a guard is no big deal at all...you'll notice it for a bit but then you just get used to it...and when you don't want to wear it on the lift just pop it out quick and stash it. I wear a helmet so i usually just stick my guard between my helmet and goggle strap, just pinch it in place for the lift ride. someone said something about having a "custom" mouthguard...i have no idea what that's about since all mouth guards are custom to your upper set of teeth after you soften it in boiling water and fit it to your teeth. mouth guards don't really pop out either because when you put it in you suck it to your teeth and it holds in place. you don't really choke on guards either...if you choke on a guard...you're...well i don't know what to say to that. invest the $5-$10 (not $20) and pick one up...it'll prolly be even less cash than that...try it out and if it works for you then great...and if not then you chance what you will.

 
they r def a good idea. who really cares what u look like with em in they r protection and they help. I wear one for soccer and they help with head and teeth injuries

I kept flinging them out of my mouth and losing them, so now I have one with a string attatched. I look like a hockey player but it's totally worth it.

i have one, but i only used it like 3 times this year. the rest of the season it just sat in my cargo pocket of my pants.

All ofthe kids saying ' I don't need one I've never fallen like that before' are either next season, or the next, or the next going to be one of the kids saying ' I fell and chipped two teeth and bit my tongue and now i wear one' by the looks of things. stoopid.

I'll wear one as soon as I'm doing big tricks ( I figure i dont need one if im only doing rails straight and sorting out my threes on small kickers)

actually mouthgards are used in soccer. also, they do help with not only mouth injuries but some concussions as well

i don't think a mouthguard will make that much of a difference in a huge crash, but also keep in mind if you crash you might choke on it? i'm not really sure, however on the subject of protection for next season i'm gonna buy a nut cup so i don't squish my balls into jelly.
