yeah so were maken one of these pain in the asses for physics but we need an ideas for a wheel. you used this foam like materiel for the huge back one but we need ideas for 2 front wheels(about the size of cd's). any ideas? we might end up just using the same materiel we did for the back. also the wheels have to be perfectly round.

the top to a big tub of butter

or the top of an ice cream container like Edy's or something nigga

 
the key to making these fast is a short arm that pulls the string from the axle, and good axles. if you're going for distance/slow speed though, make the arm really long.

as for materials.... how about some light weight wood, or a mini cd?

i made one of these before... just use cd's for the wheels its the best

CD's have zero traction. i've tried lining the surface of CD's with elastics though, it works fairly well.

just take 2 cds and put rubber bands on them and if there for the fron wheles it dosnt mater any way for traction cause the trap would be conected to the rear whele so u can just use plain cds there would even be lass friction that way

yeah melvs we need it perfectly round, w/e were just going with cds, we didnt want to in the first place casue we want to cut out the middle a bit to make spokes so the cd is lighter. well see how it goes, anyone got any suggestions other than the wheel though?

my sister had to make one... i ended up making it for her the night before. i used film canister lids. small wheels though

i made one of those and i used CDs cause i got free ones from those aol free internet trail disks they worked good

 
we had 2 mice ride on top of ours...

we were considering turning those hampster balls into wheels.. and puttin the mice in those but our teacher was being a tool and said the mice would be powering it and not gravity

back wheels- old RECORDS

front- small ass wheels. its a physics thing.the ratio of rotation or some shit. everyone does cds. i did cds, but the farthest one was the records.

We just did that for our "Advanced Science class" and i cut out the bottom of the metal coffee containers for wheels.

 
jer your car looked like such a piece of shit tho, use cd,s and dab some hot glue and spread it around the edge.

when we did this, we used CD's. they were key. you just need to make sure that your car is heavy enough to not have the wheels spin out. rubber bands do wonders for that.
