if i buy the skis will they be mounted in the right spot cause im buying from a big name store and they arn't in with much newschool stuff. I was wondering if the TMs are supposed to be mounted closer to the center as apposed to the back. Where do you think I should mount the binding on the ski? thanks everyone for the help!!!

just mount them where there recomended to be mounted plenty far up

well to keep it real I started being a Poser Poser. I dress and act like a poser, but i'm not really a poser. I just pose to look like a poser posing. you know just keepin it underground

Go to a shop that knows how to balance skis. Basically, what balancing does is finds your 'sweet-spot' on the ski. It figures out where the center of the running surface is, and then bases the center line off that. Then you figure out where your center of gravity works best on the ski. There's a little more to it, but you get the idea.

Skis are made for the 'average' person. Since very few prople fit the 'average mold' manufacturers base their designs off of, odds are you would probably benifit from having your skis balanced.

The mounting spot on TMs is not in the center, but I would just get them mounted at the recommended spot. I hate center mounted skis so I got my mounted back 3cm thinking the mounting spot was in the center... BAD idea, especially since mine are 182s and are gonna ride funny. Does anyone know if its gonna change the ski noticiable if I get them remounted?

MaryJane, what you are describing does NOT apply to twintips that are going to spend much time in the park.

Finding a sweet spot like that doesn't take into account going switch.

To the dude that asked, my 175 TMs mount point (marked on the ski) is exactly the same as the forward mark on my 174 Scratch FSs. I'd just mount them according to the mark OR 1 cm forward if you are going to be doing much switch stuff.
