im gonna mount my stl's today and im thinking ill just do true center unless theres any reason not to, im gonna use them like 85% for park, and the rest for like groomers and stuff, but i really dont care how well they do there. and this guy at my local shop sayed that there is something in the ski that makes mounting 4frnt bindings better or something like that, i dont know if thats true cause ive never heard of it, but if it is true will it effect my bindings at all? thanks.

this is prolly the 50th time i've said this...but you must suck at skiing if you can't ride stl's on groomers n shit...i rode mine in almost a foot of powder and they were aiight...you guys are fuckin park rats

people..... you can ride any ski, anywhere. sure som work better than others in certain places, but skis go anywhere. Steeles Mount. DO IT!

i really dont care how they do on gromers. i only want to know which mounting position is best for park, im guessing true center, but is there any reason the steel mount would be better for park?

i mounted mine on steeles mount just so i could have that small small advantage outside the park...but if you don't care about groomers ns hit then mount em up true center and you'll love them

i mounted them on the center mount line, and they ski really sweet, they ski really really smooth, and they are pretty easy for butters and stuff.

oh and when i was getting them mounted, the guys at the shop said the core was shitty or somethin, like they said its a bad ski cause it seems like balsa wood or low quality wood or somethin, so is there anything i should know about these skis that i havent heard of yet, like do the cores wear out, or break easy? cause ive heard nothing but good from people who own them. i think the guy just doesnt know what he is talking about, cause he always seems to complain about how the skis are constructed and not how they ski.

Its a maple core with aspen in the tips, not balsa wood. The guys a moron, the ski has a great construction to it and its far from low quality.

yeah, ive never heard of anybody having any problems with the stl's and ive never heard anything about the core being bad. i dont get how a ski can be made with low quality wood, it doesnt matter how nice it is, its how it works, its like saying a car's a piece of crap cause its made of steel not gold.

Have you ever seen a binding rip out of a pair of 4frnt skis. I have its not pretty. The core is more prone to ripping out than other skis. trust me. If your are mounting bindings with a close grouping in the heel like any of the look pivots then I would use a smaller diameter drill bit and epoxy.

then no problem. and yes they ski good
