Mounting ski's step buy step info?

Do you have a jig? Posi-drive?

Sounds like a bad idea unless they are urban/rail skis. Actually still sounds like a bad idea. Let us know how it turns out.

bump..any one else have imput it's going down in about two hours. and no we dont have a jig but there not my ski's so i dont care

you can make a paper template and do it that way. i mounted my candides that way with a look binding

1. cut out a piece of paper to the size of the binding that you will need.

2. Measure you boot length(in mm) usually there is a mm mark on the boot heel.

3. Tap the template to the ski and mark the midsole line on template.

4. Place the boot on the ski at the midsole mark and mark the template at the end of the boot (toe and heel).

5. Next you need to place the binding on the template (remove the boot) and without the screws in the holes.

6. Place the toe piece so the place where the toe of the boot meets the toe piece of the binding(the line we drew earlier)

7. Do the same with the heel piece.

8. Carefully mark with a pencil or whatever the holes for the screws.

9. Thats it. just make sure your holes are parallel with each other and drive with a ski bit or a bit that has a depth adjust of 3.5mm in diameter X 7-9mm in depth.

10. Repeat this procedure for the other ski.

11. Dont blame me. you void your warrenty and could screw your shit up. Its always a good idea to bring to a professional. Ive been mounting for 5years. So i know how to do it.

I can't really offer any advice on how to, but figure I could offer some info you ought to know.

Legally your friend could sue you if he messes himself up because the bindings were improperly mounted. The techs at stores are licensed for this reason.

I was messing around once with a junker pair of skis, forgot to readjust the forward pressure prior to mounting. Sure felt like an idiot after realizing that I didn't have any room left to properly adjust the forward pressure.
