Mounting Point Help - S5

Alright, I recently ordered a pari of S5s from Rossignol.

I'm 5'10 and 145 pounds, and I'm trying to decide where I want to mount them.

There are 3 mounting points, the closest to true centre for more park oriented, closer to the tail for pure alpine, and one in between the two, for a mix.

I got 185s because I wanted to go faster, bigger, and charge lines wherever possible, but I also now need to take them in the park as my park skis have been recently retired due to an unreliable heel-piece that tends to fall out of the ski.

I also ordered a pair of SAS2 140 Wide bindings, 4-14 din.

So, my question to you is where should I mount them and why?

i like to have a lot of tail for charging.. I find it helps me stomp.. and so i never ski back of -3 from true.. I might also be purchasing some S5s later in the season and so i'll be interested to see what you think.. I would either go at the furthest forward line or not far back.. personal preference though man.. 185 is fairly long for 5'10 and so i don't think tip length will be an issue..

Well I have owned three pairs of Scratch BCs, or Brigades or S5, whichever you'd like to call them :) I owned a pair mounted at the all-mountain, farthest back mounting position and LOVED the way they skied everywhere... except the park. At a 185 beefy ski mounted that far back they are harder to spin, and switch really isn't that great; a lot less control. I've also ridden them at the Addicted, or center postion, which was WAY too forward to carve a great line and did a bit of nose diving. That being said, I thought the perfect place to mount would be on the freeride line. Best of luck deciding

i have mine mounted -3 or -4 from center, its been awhile since i mounted them. either way, in that ballpark rules, theres just enough tip to prevent them from diving but balanced enough to spin on
