Mounting pipecleaners

i was wondering where other people have mounted their pipecleaners. I have center mounted by past two park skis(ar5, thall). I live in southern california so i mostly ride park and have a pair of nithward 187 for freeriding. i was think of center mounting but i have read the -2.5 from center is good too. the skis are 2007 pipecleaner prototypes.
 
I've got the exact same skis, the first pc's are killer. Mount them at -2.5 from center, you don't want to mount true center because the ski is designed to perform it's best mounted -2.5. That is where you are in the right position to take advantage of the sidecut and flex of the ski. You will not notice the extra 2.5 in the tip.

my friend has his mounted center pretty sure, but i haven't skied them.

mine are mounted at recommended, and they are perfect in every way.
 
I agree, -2.5. I disagree about not noticing the difference in how much tip you have though. 1(2.5cm) inch less tip is noticable and less stable, so that is another reason to mount -2.5. I have my 181s mounted at -2 of true and they are great..if you are skiing switch a ton of time I still don't see the need of going forward of -2. Also, PCs were probably designed aroun the -5 mount since that is where they say is recommended. Either way, they perform great even at 100% park at the -2.5
 
I have mine right in the middle and the rule! its a park ski ovisily your going to mount it center, plus it looks so much damn cooler, you can mount em back and all winter you will wonder what if you just centered em? I have never met someone who was a good skier and regreted centering a pair of park skis.
 
i am going to mount them center because that is what i keep thinking. i am moving to mammoth now though so i will be skiing a lot more all mountain but that is why i have my tha 187.
 
you could always go -1.5. i think thats where im going because it seems like it will be a good balance for jumps, switch, rails, pipe, and 50% of all mountain. someone correct if me im wrong
