Mounting on Nomad 95?

I’m planning on riding on a pair of Icelantic nomad 95s this season and I was wondering where I should mount my bindings. I was originally going to mount them true center, but I saw on Icelantic’s website that the core center marking on the 95s was good for park skiers. I ski about 70% park and 30% front side of the mountain (trees and groomers mostly) if that info helps

When in doubt go recommend. The ski is engineered around that point and exists for a reason.

By “center” do you mean true center? Sorry if this is a dumb question but I can’t tell if you’re talking about true center or core center

I recommend to mount it center. I ride the 95 too and center is just perfect for everything.

My $0.02, I usually prefer going -1 or -2 from true center just because those "all-mountain freestyle" skis usually have much more tip rocker than tail rocker

I mean true center. I ride basically only park or bc freestyle. So that's the main reason why i choose true center.

anything < 3cm back will feel about true center anyways, if the recommended is like 4cm back then theres no harm putting it at 4cm.

The mount point doesn’t look to far back on the 95s. If I had to guess I would say that it’s >5cm from true center

Is the 95 mount point as far back as the 105? I know it’s pretty far back. But usually recommended is they way to go.

Do your skis feel hard to carve with? I’m a little bit worried that if I mount true center I’m not going to be able to carve well

I ride mine true center, but I only ski east coast so mostly park, and whatever trail to get to the park

mount at recommended for sure unless you only ski park pretty much exclusively and KNOW you want/need it true center for that.

otherwise go recommended, it's what the ski was designed to be mounted at

Unfortunately didn't see this thread prior to getting mine mounted. Got them mounted 2cm back from center & am having regrets considering I wont be hitting the park anymore :/

Can’t tell if this is a joke or not but 90% wouldn’t be able to feel the difference between -2 and center anyway, and it certainly is not enough to warrant you not being able to ski park. The Nomads have a big sweet spot so true center and -2 won’t feel vastly different

Not a joke. I'm not skiing park anymore, so will mainly just be riding around the mounting teaching my gf to ski. Considering that, I probably should have had them mounted at recommended center as opposed to 2cm back. I haven't skied in so long that I wasn't sure where to have them mounted but in retrospect it should have been further back.

I totally misread your post that’s my bad. You’ll be Gucci at -2 assuming you still like to ski/land switch a little bit and enjoy a more “surfy” and loose feeling ski!
