Mounting lines on last years Rossi Scrathcs

Out of nothing but curiosity, where are the two lines in relation to midsole or true center? I understand there is a modern and standard or something, I'm really curious about the standard line, in relation to the center of the sidecut, and how would Scratches mounted there perform in park.
 
im not sure about core center but if you want to measure true center on last years it is 7+ from the modern line, 9+ from the standard line. i had my 04/05's mounted at modern and im actually thinking i will mount my 05/06's(last years grey ones) at 5+ from modern. i wouldnt really recommend the standard mount point especially if youll be riding a lot of park.
 
Thats what I told my buddy, his first twins are last years scratchs, he wouldnt listen, he wanted to match his old race skis. So lame.
 
Yeah, at least mount at modern, standard would just suck for a park twin... I got my wrs mounted at -2 from center for better switch and rails but it'll still turn a little better then center mount...
 
yea man racers are so friggen stubborn, my bud got some PEs and insisted on traditional mount. which on K2s is like 5 cm in front of the tail
 
haha seriously. of the few people that bring in twins to the shop i work at 90% of them are mounted super far back. i want to be like look im gonna do you a huge favor and remount these for free.
 
Both mount lines on last years fs are pretty far back from true center. I can't remember exact numbers, but they are pretty far back. Mine are mounted not quite centered but pretty close. Maybe -2 from center. Looking at them they always look like they have more tail then tip, but when I actually measure they are mounted behind center. Shit trips me out.
 
Wouldnt that be due to the fact that there is more boot in front of the mounting line on a boot than there is in back, so the toe piece would have to be further ahead of the actual mounting point than the heelpiece would be behind? That makse sense?
 
yea that makes sense. Anyways, if You are gonna ski park I recommend definitely going forward of both of the lines.
 
Ok so I rode these skis the other day, at the standard line, not in the park but freeriding. I can honestly say they are pretty damn sick for just doing turns, I guess thats what that line is for, but I went switch a bit and omg sketchy. I'm on fujatives at core center which is ok switch, and this was like going backwards with a 2x4 out in front of you and no tail behind you, I guess its what hes used to but I cant imagine park on that kind of setup.
 
yes mount them in front of both lines.. i would recommend center because since your gunna ride park you'll be able to ride switch better, rail balance will be wicked easy, and balanced swing weight... i'm on a pair of center-mounted t-halls and they are wicked sick... and since your gunna be in the park you don't need to rip and bode miller gs turns and turning centermounted is fine u jus need a run to get used to it
