ok i searched for this and i couldnt find it. i want to know where to mount my karmas. i dont want them center mounted or all the way back cuz i plan on doing prob close to 50% park and 40% woods and bc and natural snow. i want an expert opinion cough triplestrum cough so im happy on these new sticks

and there are alot of threads on mounting skis, not karmas tho, and it doesnt matter this thread will be gone in a few days time so dont complain about 2 out 500000 threads are the same

+3cm through +5cm from the suggested point, depending on how big of a jump you want to take. Personally, if I had your percentages I wouldnt go over +3. Some people just personaly like more tail, so hence the range to +5.

i got mine mounted at the suggested and they got plenty of tail for some switch but id go +3 to be safe in your case

Why would you want to mount them forward at all? comapnies put a suggested mounting point on them because that's where they're the best all-around. If 50% of your riding is out of the park, you will need them to perform to the best of their ability. Karmas a great all-mountain tools. Don't cut their right nut off by mounting them forward.

I meant forward from recommended. I'm serious. Mount them where they're supposed to be mounted. They will perform the best there.

most skis ski better somewhere other than recommended. standard recomendations are based on how race skis perform and that's it. Major brands have only recently even began putting individualized mointing recomendations on skis, otherwise it's based on the old race standard of boot toe at true center which is way further back than anyone on here would want to ski any ski.

But the kid wants it for park too, a lot of companies have real similar generic mount points and it becomes a thing of perference.

That's not true at all. Take a pair of race skis and any pair of twins, especially new ones, and compare the lengths of the tails behind the bindings. The twins will always have longer tails.

I have always just gone with suggested BUT my friend just got his back from the shop and they have NO tail. They are mounted at suggested. Im not a big fan of forward mounting but in this case i would definitely support it.
