mounting head mad trix

im mounting some 03 head mad trix. these are the mostly blue ones with white tips. Im not using the reversable bindings plate underneath, i am just mounting them like a normal ski, with the 'big mountain' tip in the front. Does anyone have a suggestion on where to mount my bindings if i want to use them like 70% park and 30% BC?

 
center em if u ride park mostly, it wont affect ur big mtn that much.

well thats pretty tough because my hand is a lot sexier than many females-NewSkool450

 
BIG mountian +3....any more then that and there is no way you will be able to ride out of the park normally

if you mount big air forward you have a smaller tip then tail and thats going to make skiing a bitch

Definately have the big mountain in the front if you plan on doing ANY BC. If you are 70 percent park I dunno what to tell you, my percentages are the exact opposite of yours..but personally I feel that big mountain setting with them +4 works great for any conditions. Mine are BC +3 and they work great either way. I just wouldn't set them too far forward for the BC, no more than +4 or +5.

We'll have you dead pretty soon.
 
do you even ski switch? if so than mount them center. mine are center and I ride the bird on deep days all the time. If your a good skier it doesn't matter how forward they are in the BC

 
Whoever said true center is +8 on madtrix is mistaken. its +11.

Anyhow, i just had mine mounted at +9 and theyre fucking amazing. i Had them mounted at +1 before, and its a huge diffrence.

Now theyre perfectly balanced for swing weight, and it makes a world of a difference on rails and spinning, the skis are just so much more agile.

As for all mountain, yes they dont work as well for charging down runs, but madtrix are such a good all mountain ski, that even mounted like this theyre still a killer ski all mountain.

I highly recomend this mounting point for these skis.

I have two pairs. I also had this dilemma. I suggest you go +3 - +5 around there. +1 or two in either direction isn't that huge of difference.

all this plus 9 plus 11 is bull shit, just measure the entire ski and mark the center point. (dumb asses)

 
oakleyskier, dont listen to these nimwits...unless you ski 100%park on these (which is a shame casue this ski is so amazing) dont mount more then big mtn +3...u guys must all be lil 5 foot nothing 90lbs to be sallying and crying about swing weight. i tried rding the BC with mine at +3 and i would much rather have them normal mounted, your always leaning back becasue you bindings are mounted so far forward that you tips would dig in if you didnt lean.

BOTTOM LINE, Big Mtn. +3 is the best for an all round ski. Anything like center mount or +9 or big air forward is just fucking rediculous

Uhh, you never mount the ski with the big air forward, that doesnt mean that if you want BIG AIR to mount that forward, there is only one reccomended line, if it was made to be mounted both ways they would have two(they would never do that but....) NO ski company has a ski that can be mounted in both directions. You dont say BIG MOUNTAIN FORWARD AND +3. Its just +3, learn your ski

hey ryno, dont tell me swing weight doesnt matter until you go ride a pair that are mounted plus 9. the difference is night and day. i rode mine for a year at plus 1, so i'd know.

ski-line900, i know that they only have one recomended line, i was jsut saying that when they originally made the ski, it came with the reversable plate where u can mount them either way, and switch them around. Obviously im not retarded enought to mount them with he big air forward, i was just making sure that everyone knew i wasnt a jackass...i guess you didnt see it that way...

Basicly kid, mount your skis pretty close to center if not at center, and mount them with big mountain forward.

Some of these kids try to tell you that your skis will suck if they are at center, but there wrong, most likely they havnt tried. Its all a prefrence thing and some kids on here cant see beyond that and are getting prefrence and perfomance mixed up.
