i just got some surface nine lifes and they were previously mounted with griffons. i just got some griffons also and was wondering what i need to mount them my own. do i just screw them in?

sorry if i sound like a "noob" but rather than spending $50ish to get them mounted i thought i could do them on my own.

yeah if you are going to mount them in the same spot and with the same holes just put alittle wood glue in each hole and screw them in. just make sure not to over tighten the screws.

alright thanks, im thinking of just doing on my own then. any certain wood glues that work best?

no not really i just use the basic elmers wood glue. it just seals the screw and the hole so no water gets into the core and roughts.

also i got the skis from surface and they were mounted with demo griffons and on the toe pieces there were 5 wholes screwed but on my griffons i only have 4 screws, what should i do with the extra hole?

oh well in that case you might want to take them to a shop because im pretty sure demo griffons have a differant track for the toe peice then that you have on your griffons that you buy. so they might have to drill new holes. if they line up good with four of the holes and the boot fits and everything go for it and then just get the extra hole filled by a shop.

both heel pieces and toe pieces line up with the holes except the 5th hole on the toe pieces.

well on shop is $75, fucking rip off. Another is $50, and another is $30 but don't have a guy certified for marker bindings.

i really think that you should just get them remounted. you could even go to the guy for 30 because even that is better than trying to do it you self when you have know idea...but its your skis and your body
