Not a gopro, but a similar helmet cam: bike, scooter(gay), my dog, car, rc car, rc plane, A ceiling fan... But that didn't work, a swing, my leg.... Didn't work to well either... Ski, friends snowboard, ski boot, longboard/skateboard, bb gun, boat, mast(boat), rollerblade, kayak, canoe, paddle, soccer goal, swimming pool
Im gonna try it on the tip of my ski soon, only worry is losing it. Gonna try getting a key finder and sticking that on the gopro so i can find it if it pops off already had a close call with it.
this summer i mounted one on my lawnmower and had it take a picture every second, then played those back in FFW, it was sweet ^^
makin the best of a boring job
It is possible, but I don't think with any of the gopro mounts. I bought a fat gecko mount for my camera that has two beefy, maneuverable suction cups and pretty well sticks to any non-porous surface and can support up to an 8 pound camera, but I have to put it on while the surface is still warm. It was 100$ at Henry's in Ottawa. I don't know how the other suction cup mounts would hold up.
Thats the clip that made me want to try it out, and yes I did figure that vibration would knock it off, i was gonna try it one day and just as i dropped my skis onto hardback the mount flew off. Just hoping with a decent recovery system and soft snow itd be doable.
If I had one I'd mount it to whatever tool I'm using while making a longboard. And somebody try attaching one to a bike rim, so it just spins around. It probably won't fit through the fork...
