Mounting dumonts

Alright, i got some dumonts at a good price so bought them. Now i have the problem of where to mount. I dunno about the simon stance as the only thing you really gain from forward mounting is nose grabs, and i'd rather have more performance in all mtn and better balanced ski.

For those who have ridden them, where would u mount. Thinking centre or 1cm back. since the sidecut is further forward im thinking a centre mount will ski well compared to other skis.

i told the mounting guy true center and he said the dumont mounting is back further than that. i went with true center and they ride great

you do know the simon stance is back from center. just flip one ski around and see for yourself. i was told that in the beginning but i flipped on ski around and saw that it was more like 2 cm back.

^really? i heard simon stance was 1cm forward or so, salomon site says something like he wanted to b able to mount further forward than traditional center mounting..

nope. Simon along with Jon mount foward. and 1cm is nothing, try 2 inches foward from dead center. Thats the shit!

yeah anything behind dead center is just stupid. Its a park ski, its meant to be mounted foward for God's sake. You dont even want to mount it at least dead center?

On any ski that doesn't have equal tip/tail height, "true centre" puts you forward of running length centre, ie. more tail on the snow than tip. Measure the running length and half that. Perfect.
