2 cm back is perfect.

If you want to center mount a ski, get a park ski. The lends are more all mountain/ EC pow skis, so the mounting location should reflect that.

2 ack isnt that far anyway, you will hardly be able to notice it, and still be able to hold your own in the park, but they wont bog down in Pow

If you are going to go taht far forward then you may as well center them. And to Grandma_Dixie or w/e your name is, you can use any ski for whatever you want. I would use them as a park ski. Maybe he likes wider skis?

My 183's are 2 back and have a more orange base.

I think the colors don't have a lot to with the length in some skis. I also have 189 Hellbents with white tips and have seen the 189's with red tips. So who knows....

The different colored bases are due to the fact that they use all the base material. The bases are all the same, just opposites of one another.

That doesn't make much sense, but I'm shitty at explaining things.

basically each base creates the base color and a negative, so you get the mostly blue base with some orange and then the mostly orange base with some blue. instead of throwing out the negative, line uses both so it depends on which pair of skis you get
it makes absolutely no difference in size, performance, anything

I have chronic blends from a couple years back that are centermounted, only bad thing about it is that they aren't good in POW. otherwise they are sick. 2 back if you want to use them in pow.

Exactly what I was trying to say. Thanks Steeze. Almost all company's that cut their bases instead of pressing graphics into them does this too.
