Mounting Bacons

I could't find any other threads about this so, does anyone know where I should mount em? I will be using them for bc-kickers and of course some powdercriusin. I was thinking about dead center or a few cm back... But I aint sure..

I was wondering the same thing. I think I'll put mine half way btw recommended and center. That or about 2-3cm back from center.

I aint getting em until October, I just wanted to know... I think I'll put em 2cm back, since they're so wide they'll probably float anyway :)

the recommended line appears to be a good 5 cm back from center. can't decide if i want mine there, or a little further up, like at the "1" in "182cm" or even dead center, which looks like the little three-square thingie on the side.

I just got back from testing my new Bacons in neck deep powder in Argentina.

The recommended line is at ±5 cm, I mounted mine a cm forward from that line, so at ±4 cm (and I usually only ride center mounted skis). They killed it switch in deep pow. I don't get off balance floating through the air. I think because the tails are wider than the tips its ok to have the bindings back a little, but they are def. supposed to be pretty close to center and they will float no matter what.

So anything between dead center and 5 cm should be fine bro. I wouldn't worry too much about a cm or two.

i have mine at recommended and they are great. im considering moving them up about 3cm though to improve the switch riding a bit.

I had mine at rec.. but they felt far back to me. If I were to do it again I'd go 2 cm forward from recommended. I think rec is -2.5 cm from core center.. and maybe like 5-6 back from true center of the ski. I wouldn't go past core center though.

Mounted mine at recommended last season. Moving it up for this season when I switch bindings. Probably to -2cm from true.

I weigh 135 and am 5'9", so not too worried about tip dive in pow. I also hope to use them alot in the park and even on some rails. The dimensions are only 3 mm from symmetrical, so not much sidecut. Not sure about how even the flex is, but maybe close to symmetrical? With this in mind, should I mount from like -2 or -1 from true center?
