Mounting Armada ARVti

Always center mounted my skis in the past, even if they were not symmetrical. I'm used to how it feels and have always enjoyed for going switch in the park and outside the park. Just got a pair of the arvti and I got them for shredding outside the park. They have slight nose rocker but traditional camber underfoot. No rocker in the tail. I'm thinking to myself I should not center them because of the nose rocker combined with traditional camber. If I were to center mount them' that would technically have me sitting closer to the contact point on the front of the ski than the contact point on the tail... right? I imagine this would feel odd since I'm used to being mounted in the center of a traditional camber ski. I feel going back a little like 1.5 or 2 cm from center would feel better going forward and still allow me to rip it switch. However, it is my understanding that this ski is the same mold as the al dente which I'd assume people mount center for park, even with the nose rocker. Anyone have experience with these skis mounted center? Or do you think it would be better to set them back a bit? Dude at the shop says I won't even notice being 2 cm back from center. What do you guys think?

never ridden the ARVti but im a big ARV lover and i always mounted them a little back from center. id do that at the most, maybe a little closer to recommended since it's your out of park ski. you'll still have plenty of tail and it'd be nice to have that ski with a little more traditional mount IMO

in my experience Armada nailed their 'recommended' mounting lines for newschool skiing. Usually dead-center on whatver camber section.

i say trust in Armada

So the line that is further back is labeled factory recommended. And the other line... is that center? Or just closer to it?

Typically even when a company marks it 'center' it's not quite measured ski center.

If you have a tape measure, measure tip to midsole, and tail to midsole. That will give you an idea where there suggestions line up

But more importantly, measure contact points to midsole.(where the rocker starts, or where the tip starts.

I think centered between contact points is ideal on most skis

Lets think about the rocker profile on the ski for a bit. It's got some early rise and a flat tail. keeping that in mind if we mount it at center that puts us over the center of the camber which to me is a big no no.

I have the 188 mounted -2.5 and wish I would have gone a tad further back. say 3-4. Doing this would put you both centered on the camber and the ABS sidewall. The way the ski should be IMO.
