Mounting Armada Ar6

where should i mountin my ar6... i ski park but also a lot all mountin and i was wondering if 4cm back would be too far back or too far forward...any thought?

No hate but, first of all, I HATE when people throw out that phrase. Secondly, you have 100 posts, so before this one you were technically considered a "newb". Finally, if you don't want to answer the question, don't hit the reply button.
Now, AR6s are super versatile and can be mounted in many places based on where you're going to be using them. This is probably the best break down:
100% park center or -1.575% park -1.550% park -2.5

Don't mount them anywhere but -1cm.That's the best place and I think what Armada, or at least the Armada team recommends.-4cm is ridiculous for a park ski. if you're going to do that, you might as well not get twintips.

I personally didnt mount mine dead center even though i ski 100% park just because of how the core is setup on the ski and it would really screw up the flex pattern of the ski. I have the -1.5 and they are really sick i would recommend it for 100% park.

I agree, which is why I put center to -1.5 as 100% park - it's all about personal preference, I personally liked them at center, but others don't like it there, for those people -1.5 is perfect.

I understand, but saying "hey, there are a bunch of other threads on this" and for bonus points "here are a few..." is much better. Just because a bunch of people act like dicks doesn't mean you do too... Look at the most popular people on this site - they're either complete asses (and are only popular because they're asses) or really nice, which would you like to be...just saying.

I totally agree with the recommendations for the AR6's that you make cause they are very good and accurate but I have mine mounted at the factory recommended -2.5 and I find it excellent for any type of skiiing. Granted mine are last years model they are the exact same this year except for the graphic. Hope it helps.

i have my 09's mounted at -2.5 and i am going to get them remounted center i would say -1.5 being the best because -2.5 i think skiing them is to far back

Honestly, I sold tons of AR6's last year and got lots of feedback, plus having my own and there wont be any difference that would make it worth movin them 1 cm forward, to get a noticable difference you need to get them mounted in the center of the ski. Armada also does tons of research and puts a lot of thought into where there skis are designed to be mounted and I will tell you right now that our stores sales rep says if someone asked him to mount them somewhere like -1.5 he will refuse because it will decrease the performance of the ski. They have a specific sidecut and the bindings are meant to be in a very specific spot.

Not to be a dick, But that is a dick move. Like he should explain it to them, But to refuse to mount them somewhere different then the recomended points isn;t fair. It all come to preference in the end. (i have had a pair center mounted) and i have a pair -1.5. I found the center mounted feels boring and nothing special, where -1.5 feels perfect. And it's not far back enough to feel horrible switch. (I raced both mountain positions on a SG course for the school team) and the -1.5 feels ten times better. And it's not far back enough to effect park or rail performance. Hope this helps man!

Ok, no hate because we are all entitled to our own opinions but not only do I sell them, I have rode mine for almost an entire seasons worth of skiing now. And seeing as he was thinking -4 cm for mostly all mountain i would say go -2.5 for MAXIMUM performance. They are designed to be mostly a park ski and some all mountain so for any park ski I would say -4 is too far back and he is doing mostly all mountain so -2.5 is the optimal setting which is why its factory recommended AND -1.5 is just to close to the center for what it sounds like he is doing. Also my -2.5 setup is great for rails and helps me hit the big kickers and booters better because i can go faster easier.

i just boughtthe 09s.. im about to get em mounted at the shop.. what do i say? 1.5 cm back from center? is it cm or inches?. and I wanna change the screws on my bindings cuz theyre real old.. anyone know what kind/where i can get new screws.. home depot?

center mounted mine and they killed it all mtn until they broke :(...still waiting to get them back on warranty....only con was pow....but that almost never happens on the east coast so it didnt matter!

Not to be a dick, "newb", jong, but didnt you say youve been selling these skis for oh so long and seeing that youve skied these for "a full season" you know EVERYTHING about them? With all that said shouldnt you automatically know that ALL SKIS are measured in CM NOT inches? Just wondering!

I like at least 1cm back for a directional ski even if ur doin all park. you get the most out of the skis technology the closer it is to midsole

please do yourself a favor and get dead center. you wont notice a difference riding regular, but the switch carving is unbelievable at center mount. that and it doesnt look goofy as hell

ar6*steeze first post and im going to say your a douchebag

mine are mounted -2.5 and i feel switch isnt the best... would mounting them - 1.5 make them weaker?
