Mounting 07 Public Enemy

Just for shitz and Giggles....

I need to mount a pair of 07 puclic enemeys. Probaly Ski 60/40 all mountain to park. I like to cruise switch and ski some pow so what's the best all around place to mount them with the best of both worlds?

mmmm...im going to say NOT RECCOMMENDED...becasue the recommended mark on all of the pe's are rediculously far back, if i were you i would go like -3 from center. actually if i was you i would mount them -2 from center, which ever should be fine.

I have mine @ +3 and they're sick all mtn... and I have no problems riding switch. Actually, everyone tells me I land better switch than normal... but I think I could've mounted my skis a lil more forward. If you're riding pow I wouldn't go beyond +4/5 though, cuz you really need a good tail for the pow.

So i'm sort of getting confused.... Ive had people say mount them at +6 or +7 and other people saying -2 or -3 I'm guessing there saying the same thing but in differn't ways. Shit I just confused myself even more.....help?

The +6and +7 guys are talking abut from the recommended mounting point (which sucks).

The -2, -3 gus are tlaking about from center mount.

I've got mine mounted at +5 (or -2 if your backwards thinking) seems to be a pretty good compromise for more all mountain than park

^I hate it when people talk about mounting points. Everyone says it differently and assumes that the person asking the question knows what you mean. For instance you say -2 is the same as +5. In my eyes it is not. As when talking about minus numbers it is usually from true measured centre not core centre which is a K2 thing. Please can people state which point they are referencing from when stating measurements. Otherwise threads like these are pointless.

Rant over.......

My bad, normally id only say +5

since there are 2 centers that could be referenced, true or core center it is important to identify your reference point.

it is probably safe to assume that ant positive measurements are going to be from the manufactures reccomended mounting position (in k2s case 'mid sole')

so my post corrected should read: mounted at +5 or -2 (from core center)

I posted this in your other thread in the Classifieds Section, but here it is again...

I have the 07 PEs in 169 and I originally had them at +5.5 from recommended mid sole mark which is -2 from core center. I was doing about 60/40 mountain/park like you and then I got much more into park over the season and now I'm more like 20/80 mountain/park and I remounted them at core center (+7.5) and I love being more in the center for riding and landing switch...I honestly don't feel a big difference between the two...One time I did was when there was some deeper powder and i was trying to turn real sharp, I could feel the back end of the skis dragging more than usual but it's no big deal, you get used to it...I would recommend +5.5 to +7.5 (core center)...it's a stiff ski great for all mountain and park so you can't really go wrong...I spent a long time thinking about my mounting these same skis so I hope this helps you out...let us know what you decide.
