Mountains in San Diego, CA

Im goin up there for a week next year to visit my brother, but i wanna ski when im out there, what mountains are close, big bear? how is it? what else is there?

they're all closed . . . they got like 40 inches of natural snow this year

yea...mtn high is the closest...but closed. Then snow valley, which sucks,...closed.

snow summit, my home away from home,...closed.

bear mtn...closed.

every other place in SoCA....closed.

the closest place is Mammoth...and its OPEN!!!

o shit..well ill be damned!! he did say next year!! sorry...i got all caught up in our depressing scene out here.

anyways...mtn high is the closest. A little further drive is Snow Summit and worth the extra few minutes. Bear Mtn is just around the corner from Summit which is usually good.

Yeah go to big bear lake. I believe there are four resorts there. Go to big bear mtn or snow summit. SNow summit has one of the best parks anywhere. ITs about 2-2.5 hours NW of San Diego. If you are willing you can drive 5 hours to Mammoth Mnt. A lot bigger and better.

depends on how slow you drive. it should only be like 2 - 2.5hrs tho.

Only during rush hour and if you drive like 50, in California the roads move at least 75-80mph!

Mammoth is like 6 hours from san diego, snow summit has to be alot closer then that
