Can anyone recommend some good mountains close to big cities? I'm thinking about moving, and I'd like to be close to a big city, with a diverse atmosphere. Anything in Cali?

Whoever said Albany, no, its a good 2 hours from anywhere respectable in VT.

Just move to SLC.

wouldnt you much rather ski at a mountain in a remote area away from the city, its so much cozier.

Vancouver: Grouse mtn, 20 minutes away from downtown, over looking Vancouver.

Seymour and Cypress mtns are on the sides of Grouse.

Cool parks for local mountains.

Then theres Whistler 1.5 hours away... Vancouver's a dope town.
