Mountainbike or bmx

Mountain Bike for me but dirt jumps also kick ass.

they are both pretty fuckin sick! i think of urban mtb the same as street bmx only with slightly bigger tires they are pretty similar! dh mountain biking is definately sick ! bmx is just as sick in its own aspects though! personally i feel more comftorable on a mountain bike so thats what i ride but i come from a bmx backround!
 
I think tricks look better on bmx, I saw the first triple tailwhip landed inw histler last month, but mtn biking is all around better, since I am a mtber
 
you guys are all noobs, youve never seen anyone good bmx. Bmx is where is started. Bmxers push sooooooo much harder than mtbers. they are basically inventing the tricks mtbers do. dont go saying bmx is gay because its were it comes from. if your wondering, i mtb. im going bmx tho. mtb break way too much.
 
never seen anyone good BMX? i work in a bike shop and we're constantly playing sick videos, so i've definitely seen some of the best riders in the world. i still think mtb is crazier. mnt bikers are going bigger and doing nearly all the same tricks as bmx riders on larger, heavier bikes with different geometry that often isn't trick-specific like bmx bikes are. look at people like Jeff Lenosky, Aaron Chase, and Darren Berrecloth (who got his start riding bmx, i know) and those guys are doing things that bmx riders are doing (and they're doing those things better than bmx riders) and they're also doing things that are impossible for bmx bikes. the room for progression and the progress that's already been made in the mountain biking world is mind-blowing. mountain biking, hands down.
 
Both sick in their own way. I mtb. to go fast and push hard. I bmx to creep around town late at night and screw off doing tricks and stuf. Both are sweet.

I like mountain biking more cause then I get to go way up in the mountains and I can practice picking lines for ski season. I think it also takes a lot more skill to pick your way down a steep loose trail full of roots than it does to ride around town on a bmx bike.
 
I don't think this was meant to turn into an argument where people call biking gay, because frankly, biking can't be gay because it's inanimate. anywhoo- I think riding on 2 wheels of any sort is awesome and we should all do it more.
 
either way you swing, go to raysmtb.com and check out where the people around n.e. ohio get to ride!! if you live anywhere in an 8 hr. radius, its worth the drive, believe me....plus you get to see ghetto cleveland!
 
mountin bikin is crazy and gettin crazier...there so much more u can do on a mtn bike than on a bmx bike
 
Exactly thats old...that's what makes it even better. MTB is just stealing from bmx'ers. What's next mt bikes with pegs ghhesshhh!!
 
Wow it's like me saying the only excuse for mtb is because you have no balance at all...But really you can do dirt on a bmx.

I have nothing against MTB (which I think is cool too) but you guys seems to have no clue as to what bmx is all about. Stop posting crap that isnt true about bmx'ers.

Each has is own style and both are sick.
 
You have to have balance for mtn. biking...and yeah I race so I would know. Like 4/5th of by friedns bmx so I dont have anything against them, I just have a preferance for mtn. biking which is what this thread is asking for
 
i don't know if any one said it, but wrong section

my roomate has a 3000dollar bike he put together, it is sick, can bounce 4 times on teh back, 2 on teh front after first "session", i want to get one so bad now,

so i want to say mtb
